i don't know -- A-Dub is doing a double-switch which would leave him in good shape even if it doesn't happen:
a) he sells Kearney and effectively buys Hunt for $1.5 million. his team salary goes up by $100,000, but that is only to $680,000 or so, which is relatively low, especially with the revenue boost. if you throw in the mechandise boost, then that drops to well below $650 or $640,000. and 144 sp means Hunt can be declining a long time and still be an NBBA all-star, if not MVP.
b) he doesn't sell Kearney. add $40,000 to the above salary totals, and A-Dub still has an acceptable salary level. (he would be fourth-highest salary in the league.) and he is stuck with a 26 yr old, highly skilled SF that had trouble finding playing time on the squad last year. such a burden, we should all have.
there has been a weird pattern in this league since i got up here: at least one new team each season made a big splash (Tucumcari made the finals their first season, GH won the title their first season, last season you made the finals). perhaps this year's team is Upsyndrome.
i remember when Tucumcari was rolling, everyone knew they would play LI, and couldn't do anything to stop it. i could see the same with a front line of Hunt and Bowens.
