I think what else helped us win last night was Romeu (37) and Ed (29) leading us in points. Which I believe is what we need from our two high price player's in order to win against the better teams of the league. And Lee helped out with his 21 points. Those three players had 87 of our 113 points. 26 points came from other players, I think that's about what we wanna see out of this team

Question: so, were now -391 in the money. Would you put up some players for bid OR fire your trainer who is making 67 something? He has helped my players develop much faster. AND i tried changing my prices, i had em all at half for whatever is min/max is and that only filled up my arena 40% :O
Cheap freaking fans!! And were a winning basketball team lol

I ended up having to do both. Sold some players and let go my 70k trainer to get back. If you have time, I’d wait until after this season, just in case you win out and get advanced. More money in a better league. That’s what I tried doing last season before letting Grozdan and others go.

Thanks. And that's what I'm trying to do. Wait. But it's getting awful tight. -317 with 6 regular season games left. I'm hoping to make this a farewell season for these players. Bc obviously its getting blown up next season. I'm hoping i can get rid of my 30 yr olds next season. Players like Alberto, Eike- who is more like a glue type player. A player that can do it all for us. But since were starting over theres no need for a "glue" player. I'm hoping to be able to keep Romeu tho and Ed, bart, albert and Khan. But im not sure we can especially with salaries going up. I was wishing i could keep my trainer so that way the young players that play next season would develop faster. I guess that's not possible tho. Well here's wishing we can hold on until the season is over!!
Im trying to get rid of two players now in hopes that itll turn my -2 something i get for home games into the plus. If were able to do that maybe were be able to hold on. MAYBE!!
Maybe if i can't get rid of those players now, ill let my trainer go. That might at least put us over the top for the stretch run.
Best of luck to your team this season AND i hope to give you guys a competitive game in the postseason. But no, promises lol we might be a little depleted

Letting go of the trainer really hurts, but if you right the finances, you should be in a position toward the end of next season to purchase a new one. We're basically a week away from being able to purchase a new trainer. Just takes a little bit of patience. But it's definitely hard. Watching my 4 young guys sit around and not do anything all season sucked.

I'll let go of my trainer tomorrow since it'll be friday. I'm not sure if i let go of him now, it'll mess up any training i already worked on. It does suck, he's been apart of my team for 6 seasons. But like anything else, his salary went up/players salary and our window closed up on us. We had a good to decent run, but could never win the championship. I'm thinking i might let everyone go next season, other than Ed,Khan, and Bart, possibly Smallwood, depending on what goes on with his bidding. Who are all in their 20s. Albert will be 29 next season, but next season is a wash for us. So i don't think it makes sense to hold on to him. But im not sure yet. Right now im just trying to make it through this season and im thinking getting rid of my trainer might help us reach the end of the season.

Big win tonight by new York legends beating the Mudcats on their home court. Makes things interesting for the playoff run.

Playoff games and how i see em going:

4) Hornets
1) Foes

I see us winning this one by a large margin, 58-145 something like that. Not sure who will be the key players for us. I think it will be more of a team win.

3) Sharks
2) Bombers

These two teams split the season series. Both winning at home. And i see that trend continuing. 105-97 Bombers. Of course its important for the Bombers to control the paint. I see them doing that in this game.

4) Risers
1) Mudcats

This one could be interesting IF the Risers play more than 5 players (in my opinion) if they don't, i see the Mudcats running away with it. 89-78

2) Shlubs
3) Legends

This might be the most interesting game among the 4. Since i believe its a tight matchup, i always give the home team a .5 avg. So Shlubs 89-83

What do yall think? Any disagreements

I've got a tough one against the Bombers. Going to need everything to go right for me to beat them.

Oh trust me, i know it's tough to beat the Bombers on their home court. This season was the first time we done it, since like season 30 (something like that) so we've done ALOT of losing at the "war zone" arena. Like i said in my other post, i see it being 105-97 in that ball park. And the keys to the game is gunna be your offense against his defense. Bc he has more of a defensive team (in my opinion) plus when his players miss how many second chances u give them. If you can score more often then not on his D. Your be in good shape. Easier said than done, i know lol. Im not sure about your team and how its built, but if you can hit 3s. And your players are in good game shape. Also has high stamina, u might wanna think about pushing the ball on em. A game with more chances for your team to score per quater. Oppose to his team wanting to play at a slower pace. (Defensive team/less shots per quater) only makes a team like that stronger in the ending moments.

Again this is only my opinion and things i picked up on during my games with the Bombers over the course of previous seasons

One thing i would love to see change with this game:

I know its very unlikely to almost impossible because i think with all the leagues they've (64 in the usa) thats where they make their money.

But, i think it would be cool if all leagues were even out (money wise) there for if you win your league, you don't move to another league. Instead you try to repeat against the same teams. And im aware you'd probably have the winner, win multiple championships. But thats basketball for ya. Players do age and decline so it would eventually change. And if you had to move more teams to leagues thats fine. You could still have your money teams and keep it at 8 total teams make the playoffs (4 on each side) adding more teams to leagues would make a 22 season length more interesting i think. Also if they wanted to, add a few more regular season games. More regular season games, more money i would imagine. Specially late in seasons with teams trying to make the post season.

Like i said. I never see this happening. But its like the #1 thing in this amazing free game, that i would like to see in the near future.

Big 8 Championship: The Bus stops here:

Well, we had a great season. Over came ALOT of up's and down's over the course of the season. Starting 0-2, to having to get rid of our trainer/players. Over coming injuries.
The good new's is, we managed to win tonight, the bad new's we lost Albert for a week.
We can't over come that, i know that, the players know that. Having 7 total players, you can't really afford an injury, specially at this point in the season. It felt like a magical season, but injuries are apart of the game and we won't be making any excuses. It just wasn't our time, period. Were rebound and get ready for next season.
Best of luck to the Bomber's, whoever they face in the finals.
