You guys started it.....sauntering off the bus in those natty black blazers with the DERONIMO emblem over the brest with a pumpkin orange handkerchief in the pocket. Carrying DQ cups, Pyzio handing one off to Skinner as they pass in the hallway, "toss this for me bro"....Then in the pre guame on about six different occasions when players would be close enough to hear each other its was all "0-3"....."which d4 do you think youll get put in"....and Nick Robinson looked at Clement and exclaimed " they aint shipped you to the glue factory yet old man?".....

And so it went, until finally a half hour before tip when the teams retired from the pre game shootaround the coach looked at his charges hands on hips and started slowly, lowly, but with greater fury as he went along that it will not be tonight. ....not to this team.....that we will tumble. That we are looking into the abyss and that collectively we have to decide that we dont wanna go....

And Deronimo knew collectively they were in for a tussle trst time Clement got the ball and moved himself into position and Pyzio was trying to keep up and theres was all of a sudden a rock of Gibraltar setting a screen where Alfred Webb ought to have been. Pyzio's ass hit the floor right in sync with the ball tickling the threads of the net. He looks in shock to the ref expecting a call...."play" is all he responds.....and such a night it would be

And in the stands the crowd though not as big as hoped and who during the pregame seemed to be be about cheerful as pall bearers at a funeral begain to pick up on the vibes being put out and decided to make their presence known. At first it started with the crowd making it colkectively to their feet....and staying there. Then the catcalls to the players became more and more crude, tge commenting to the refs more spiteful. Finally it hit a point where during the middle of the 4th when the finishing touches wete being placedon the proceedings Pyzio feels a quick sharp sting to his temple, the doc comes over and looks perplexed and you hear a rhetorical question " is that a burn mark?" just then one of the refs looks down, sees something shiny on the floor and goes to pick it up but drops it by instinct, a Kennedy half dollar with the eagle side showing the marks of where it was heated. At the same time the yellow windbreakers of the security crew were on top of matters and narrows down quite quickly from where the projectile originated. "Ok who flicked it?" and in unisom about 30 index fingers point to good old Cletus as thr culprit, then again it always is cletus. The PA announcer reminds the patrons " please do not toss projectiles onto the court" as Cletus proudly places hands behind back as a pair the Greensboros finest escort him away as Mr. Hitchcock holds out his Panama Jack hat to take up a collection to get his monkey ass out of jail. Nothing quite like the Cokiseum on a Saturday night

A slow motion montage of expressions of concern and then of celebration moving into clips of completion.

Announcer: as we finish the second week of action it is time for a early inventory of where everyone in the slaughterhouse is heading and on what has to be done to stay on that path or to change course.

At the top of great 8 we have a battle for early control as the pistons put their 3-0 mark up against a Deronimo club seeking a return to form after the stinging surprise unleashed over the weekend by their old rivals the generals.

Speakingof which the generals must now try to follow up that task by taking on the always tough at home bunnies in this battle between teams seeking to slip back into the early playoff picture.

The dogs and the stormz square off in a tussle where the victor will find themselves in the thick of the race.

While at the bottom of the table lake and spidey match glares in a battle to stay clear of the cellar.

Over in club fed

Our cameras will focus on the litter box where the kitties will be seeking to solidify their standing at the top of the heap though the visiting blizzards have different ideas.

The Mavs and spike meet up in a battle which could in time mean a lot towards the others trajectory.

2 looks to keep pace and move to 4-0 though masters would love nothing more than to throw a wrench into the system by spring a upset.

And the Grizz and dags will duke it out to finally draw a result to the left hand side of the ledger.

Sybil says shr got some special energy from her spiritual cintacts this week, lets see how well it translates to the selections. The transfer ticker has some high end comings and goings and as always we will get you up to speed.

And we had another incident from Generals management. ... This time involving the team doctor.....and our cameras got it all....so settle down and get ready on game four on which to enthrall as its time again for BB2NIGHT

My next cup opponent looks familiar... With the 17 games against spanning 2 different leagues and a past cup game... Doesn't seem like a random opponent.

Ouchies I see, you are ranked higher but he has a well balance team. Not much on the bench as you. His starting line-up $$$ is much higher and you are playing on his home court. That is going to be a tough game for ya. Maybe, Lake can let you tie as he salary dumps this week. Good Luck to ya.

Tonights opening montage is a collection of images expressing interaction. Fist bumps, high fives, coaches in the huddles making eye contact. Etc etc

Cue: https://youtu.be/3EH7QMVnSRI

Announcer: as the first foray of conference play comes towards a close we start to find out who is reaching their charges and of whom still has to find a way to get their message accross.

In the big 8...,

The bulldogs and Bunnies battle it out in an effort to stay in touch with the upper echelon.

Deronimo seeks to avoid a slip up against the nation in advance of their daunting cup draw.

Stormz is seeking to slip back into a playoff position against a spider squad which is still seeking answers.

And the Pistons pull into Greensboro for a rivalry rendezvous as Diorite hopes to maybe take over the top spot while the general's seek to balance the ledger and post back to back wins for the first time this season.

Off in club red.....

Wadsworth and masters tangle to see who can stay in spitting distance of contention.

Spike is seeking to pull a snow job on the blizzards.

The kitties seek to notch another scratch in the post against the depleted daggers.

And round 2 will try to keep pace though the visiting mavs would like nothing better than to drag them back down another notch.
