Folks, I've had a change of heart.
We should have won the Pool B Championship - I mean, what could possibly be more prestigious than that?
In fact, I'm going to see if we can resign from the rest of qualifying, since there's nothing left to accomplish that could surpass our failed attempt at a title.
Finally, in recognition of the incredible feat of Brazil, I have commissioned a trophy in their honor:

The competition you are referring to is the "Americas Cup" or "Americas Tournament". It is defined in the rules of BB as a
"continental championship tournament". This is not the "Americas Qualifying".
Your whole argument is incorrect. You want to say the title is meaningless just because the second place also advances to the World Cup, but the reality is that the qualification to the WC is not the ultimate goal of the competition, is just another prize. So much that we even have other chances of WC qualification afterwords.
You said that the real life continental cups are meaningful because they don't give spots in the WC. Do you know how ridiculous that sounds? Continental cups are meaningful because people are proud of their country and their continent.
Most leagues in the world, in most sports, award spots in continental competitions to teams that finish in high positions in their national league. Does that mean they think that winning the title is meaningless and finishing 4th is ok just because they qualify just the same? No, of course not. Everyone respects the titles, except you.
