The little s that shows up in the matchviewer next to players names is not indicative of the depth chart instructions the coach received. This is a bug we should fix, but its a display bug. What the LA-Kukoc said is correct in that the depth chart is ultimately a weight, even for strictly follow depth chart. The weight of the depth chart is weighed against the players effectiveness.. so that if your backup is so much better than your starter, the weight of the depth chart can be overcome and the backup will play more.. including the opening tip. Maybe we should change the GE logic so that at tipoff the starter is always there and the coach subs in the backup at the first whistle, but as i've tried to explain before, you cannot have both a truly strict logic system and one that works flexibly in all possible situations that occurs. Furthermore coaches don't make decisions like that, they go based upon more fuzzy feelings/factors, and finally the system is not designed to maximize training and that is intentional.

And I understand that about training, and am not saying that it messed it up or anything, because frankly it didnt. It will change my tactics for the rest of the week but thats fine, not a huge deal. As it has been addressed now, I had just been curious as to the reasons.

So thank you both again and all the best!

Is the following a bug or not?
Hopefully some one understand my story

Last Saturday's match (20836489)

Result was WO, but game was played with Default line up

May line up for this game was

Madureira, Harsch, Perilä, Valencina, Rasetic.

In default line up, there is Kiesi (not Perilä).

Now the facts

First Player, then minutes to play in match, and finally time to get train

Madureira, 36, 36
Harsch, 33, 36
Perilä, 7, 36
Valencina, 36, 36
Rasetic, 36, 36

Kiesi, 41, 10
Tarkiainen, 15, 10
Junni, 12, 10
Laurinen, 12, 10
Rueda Marin, 12, 10

So my player Jaakko Kiesi played 41 min instead of 10 min. There was also a risk to injury.
So 41 min injury risk for 10 min train, because of wrong line up used

I assume 36/10 training is made for WO's. I think that possible injuries should be for the same time.

I can't understand your problem. With walkover you get starter 36 sub 10 and reserve 2 min. There are some patterns you need to follow to gain all the minutes.
With blow outs you get atleast 12 minutes for sub (or reserve) + subtitutions in the first 3 quarters. Unless ofcourse there are no fouling outs or injuries.
What does the 41 stand for? There is no injury risk in WO anyway.

You sure about that? The only reason for running the simulation is having the possibility of injuries.

His point is that different players face the risk of getting injured (assuming the risk depends on the minutes seen in the simulation) than the ones who get the minutes. Moreover, in his game the players used by the game engine are the default lineup players, not the ones submitted for that specific game. The correct players (i.e. the submitted players) get the WO minutes. The question is however about the simulation and injury risk.

One of our users had a bug with formation. Here is the screen from his "Set your lineup"
As you can see Natsin is put into the starting 5 and surnov (his key player) is backup.
Here is another screen from the first minute of the match.

Here Surnov is playing as a starter and Natsin is his backup. He didn't want to win this cup match but GS of his key player who played 46 minutes in this match will definitely vrash tomorrow after update.

He played Coach Picks from Depth Chart.

I didn't hear anything about it! In this case setting the lineup becomes useless..

It happenend to me in the 2 matches before todays match. For todays match I checked the 'Make this the Standard Line-up' box and it seems to have work, but this is only a band-aid solution.
