my worse drafted player this season had a great stat line (30 pts,8 rebounds,2 assists,2 steals, 4-4 3 pts, 17-21 shots)

his highest skill was average on shot blocking , he had awful inside shot, inept jumpshot, pitiful jumprange and he was 19.

once again, and ive read other theads that say this also the box store means almost nothing as you do not know the level of def.

but by all means ignore me and draft via box scores, especially if your in my league.

I would go alittle farther and say that stat lines mean NOTHING at all. For one we all have completely different lines and second as has been mention you have no idea what type of opponent they are against.

I drafted a player last season who was a inside palyer he had (6-9 FG, 3-3 3pts). It turns out he was awful/ awful in JS/JR, he did have average IS but it does not add up. This is only one of many examples of how little importance the stat line should have on selecting players.

I agree they are mostly useless, but if I have 2 18 year olds that are 5 star skills and 5 star potential and their suggested position is shooting guard, and one of them shot 1-10 FG and 0-4 3FG while the other shot 15-19 FG and 6-6 3FG, well then there is no surprise as to which player I am listing first :P

The box scores are good for seeing what a player isn't good at. I look at Free throws and turnovers mainly. And personal fouls.
