You may be on to something on this game but I will note that it is against a proficient outside d (yikes). The other thing to think about, is what is the passing/handling of the SG and SF from Australia? How did it match up against the outside d of their opponent?

i think proficient OD with 3-2 isn't that good, where a 7 in Flow is more then solid ... To match that up is very hard till imposiible, and in this case the 3-2 is maybe the better inside blocker then 2-3 which struggles against midrange jumps even against LI or LP teams.

So we should play 3-2 instead of 2-3 against inside teams? 3-2 zone seems to have too much advantage.

Maybe under the old engine but not the new one, it seems. Again, I do not think it is the 3-2 zone that is the issue. It is the level of outside d that matters.

Also, I don't mind discussing this on a global ratings level, on the other hand the individual match-ups are also very important. So if you stick a guy at SF who has respectable passing/handling vs a SF with tremendous outside d, you are still in trouble, even if your global flow rating is high (this is how I am understanding it, anyways).

Finally, I really wonder if pace is having an impact here. Is anyone observing the same weird shot distribution with a low post? Just curious.

I think that the best inside "blocker" is still man-2-man, provided that you can put up high enough outside d. 3-2 zone gives up too much rebounding.

I think that's the wrong link - it sends me to a game with two teams playing base offense.

did the calculation changed? To get high 7 in Flow you had very good player for the flow, i get it with

PG: 11/13(HN/PS)
SG: 13/10
SF: 8/10

so i palyed with 3 PG like players, two of them are counted as Sg but they are very similiar in their salary in this two positions.

And i had no problem to get the 9 with a man to man defense with just sligthly better d skills, with 3-2 zone you had even worse D then "flow" abilitys but are still to superior that your opponent can not find the week spot in your defence?

In my last LI game, i think with solid flow my center also takes few shots - and had a nice matchup fom the matchup rating(which i always have trouble to udnerstand):

(15527365)

The SF who killed me there had 8/8 in handling and Passing, his opposing player had something like an 7-8 in OD.

What about the driving of these players? I though driving also contributed to off flow, giving players the ability to create their own shots.

You were up against some pretty good defense there, and your SF appears to be an inferior player to the one he was matched up against. 13/10/10 passing is definitely good, maybe enough to keep you in this game, but not enough to pull off a difficult road win.

i don't complain about the loss, this was a 50:50 game and someone had to loose it - in this case it was me ;) My main propose is that Flow 7 is pretty good, and from the skill requirements compareable with OD 9. The driving skills was around the handling level of the players.

For my example with the flow i take my last game:

(15527387) because the linked one(in my first post) was in the OT, and normally you get better ratings then.

Do you have a low post example that didn't go into OT? I don't have a good handle on what happens to the game ratings in OT.
