It is more for financial reprucussions.... with the transfer market being 24/7 there is a distinct advantage for anyone who reads the news first (or can be)... fully appreciating that english isnt everyones mother tongue language it feels fairer to at least try to ensure everyone has the chance to interpret the information at as close to the time of announcement as possible as a player who was a dead cert to sell for $6mil last week is already now touch and go at $4.5. BUT with some managers unaware this would perhaps lead them to spending a fair few weeks extra spending thinking they have a great deal when in a few days from then they would read a translation of your news which had they interpreted as others then maybe wouldve saved them a considerable amount of money.

Good news ;)
If ok then you can implement it giving us the possibility to set the defensive orders also for the substitute and in case to allow us to leave a position "free" setting a double defense to the most dangerous opponent player.

Great news, but I have a small suggestion: wouldn't it be better to be able to test the new feature in the Private Leagues as well, since the vast majority of users don't field their starting lineup in friendlies for obvious reasons? For example, I'm only planning to use 3 players in my friendly matches since I don't want to risk injury in a useless game for the guys I am not training, so it will be impossible for me (and many others) to try the new feature out.

not everyone has "supporter", so it would be a money first action for trial which has never been the case with buzzerbeater.

This is another big change which affects long-term strategy and it is shame it has not been cleared at the start of the season that it will come up in the middle of it. Now we're having 4,5 weeks to rebuild our strategy once again.

This was first announced in Season 8 and reaffirmed in the forums when we were asked about it at the start of this season. When we announced it we made it clear that it would be a big change affecting long-term strategy and that's why it was announced so far in advance. In fact, we said on 2/24/2009 specifically this:

More details will be forthcoming as we get closer, but to avoid spoiling long-term strategies, we want to give maximum advance notice.

In the game engine, your SG (for example) will no longer be restricted to guarding an opposing SG in a man-to-man defense. In other words, your position in the offense will not have to match your position in the defense.

Incidentally, you were the one who translated the above to:

Detaily vám budou objasněny, až bude připraveno více, ale abychom zabránili narušení dlouhodobých strategií, chceme vás o novinkách informovat už nyní.

Vašemu hráči na pozici SG (například) už nebude v herním enginu neměně přiděleno, aby bránil pouze hráče SG ze soupeřova týmu při osobní obraně. Jinými slovy to znamená, že hráčova pozice v útoku se nebude muset shodovat s jeho pozicí v obraně.

So I'd like to think you were aware that we had announced this.

I have no problem with people criticizing the direction we're taking the game - while we think hard about each of these choices, I know that we don't always get it right. But I think it's unfair to say that these are major changes coming as a surprise - we've tried hard to announce these things ahead of time and to explain that they would be significant changes. Having said that, apparently there were quite a few people who were indeed surprised, which means people are not having the reaction to news posts that we expected. So, I'm open to suggestions about ways to better announce upcoming changes if you have any thoughts on the matter.

Man, you don't mean that, do you? This is now 2.6 seasons back; you dont want me to start rebuilding my team and to wait 3 seasons to the feature to come up (when it is not even close to certain that it will come up). I think 10 season early news would be much better.

But this is all over again and again:

- there are new features introduced in the GE and economics - nobody had a clue one week before they were actually introduced

This whole post is contradicting. You are whining about the fact that nobody has a clue one week before they are introduced, and on the other end you say an announcement about the upcoming change 3 season before this is too early.

Can anyone in BB ever do something right in your opininon?

So you think you can train players in half a season to match new tactics?

What kind of steriods coach have you got? If I think I need to change my training regime and add other skills to the players, then there is no way I can do this in 6 weeks. I need way more than that to make my players fit the new changes.

Also the thing is still being tested in the scrimmages untill final release.

If this would have been cleared in Season 10 news, it is 1 season to match new tactics. It is definitely more than 4.5 weeks as it is now.

You know, I dont really mind that I wont be able to use the tactic right from the start (as most of the teams may have problems with that), but I do mind the way all new features are introduced to us...and it's from both points of view - LA and a common user.
