Thanks for the advice everyone. I am probably going to TIE wizard and CT DM in the hope I can possibly beat DM which is probably unlikely. I shouldn't have any problem getting game shape back up since I can TIE everyone in my conference.

Does anyone besides hrudey think this is worth a shot?

I've never used FCP in a league match. Is it worth giving it a shot?

Maybe I'm just imagining it, but FCP and TIE is a bad combination. But I've had success playing FCP (PTB/LI) Normal/CT vs. Motion.
They wanna slow it down, you speed it up.

I would not got for FCP. It is a real risky defense. You may get a lot of steals but at the cost that you know that your opponent will have it real easy when coming near the basket as well as they will have a great advantage in RB's. Your players will also tire at a greater rate then in any other defense. So there rely is a big risk for that small gain in my opinion.

On the other hand, in this case, there's no downside at all to trying it. The OP has essentially these two interconference games that are potential losses and nothing else, and the team he's going against (at least as has been playing in recent games) is demonstrably better all around. The one hole in the team is that awful(high) offensive flow. And the OP's definitely got quite nice OD on his players to put up the perimeter defense he's doing, so while it's a long shot, it's better than no shot. While I'm certainly going to defer to more experienced users on the general effectiveness of FCP, in this specific case it seems like the only way to steal a win that could steal HCA for the finals and steal a promotion. Hopefully the FCP would be as effective at generating steals as the last sentence was! ;)

Given his unimpressive outside shooting, I almost wonder if this is a good scenario for the much-maligned 2-3 defense, since the main criticism of it seems to be that it leaves too many easy outside shots for the guards. I don't have any experience with that, though, so hopefully someone else will chime in with a suggestion one way or the other.
