Here is some observation on a limited amount of data so far (GS1 is GS before the sale and GS2 is after the player was sold; the same with DMI1 and DMI2).

GS1	GS2	DMI1	DMI2	↓ DMI %
9 6 382200 87000 77.24%
9 6 252200 58900 76.65%
9 7 173100 49000 71.69%
9 7 1114300 319300 71.35%
9 7 144300 44500 69.16%
9 6 188900 46800 75.22%
9 6 892200 243800 72.67%

GS1	GS2	DMI1	DMI2	↓ DMI %
8 6 29,200 8,200 71.92%
8 6 162,800 44100 72.91%
8 6 213,200 61300 71.25%
8 6 18100 9100 49.72%
8 6 532300 281700 47.08%
8 6 47600 14100 70.38%
8 6 411600 207200 49.66%
8 6 22400 7200 67.86%
8 6 259300 123500 52.37%
8 5 85800 42100 50.93%
8 6 405200 138700 65.77%
8 6 122800 33800 72.48%
8 5 114600 34800 69.63%
8 6 42500 23200 45.41%
8 5 338400 150300 55.59%
8 6 34500 10400 69.86%

It's obvious that it is difficult to estimate the exact GS hit for levels of GS <9 because of the sub-levels of GS.

And from the shown data it is obvious that even at level 9 GS there are differences of GS hit which suggest there is a random factor in the formula.

Yeah I purchased a 60k 23 year old and his GS dropped from 7 to 5. I played him 52 minutes this week and he jumped to 8 GS!

Bought a 32 yo 40k bigman average GS when bought. Played 53 minutes that week and GS went up to respectable after training. IMHO this isn't what I envisioned the GS hit would be. Was expecting something harsher.

I believe the hit is only important when you are buying players with good GS. I had a proficient GS go to average.

The bigger the pre-sale GS the bigger the GS hit after the sale. But, you can also experience GS drop even when buying a player in GS level 5. Out of 113 players that I've monitored (which is very low amount of data), the GS drop were as follows:

Pre-sale GS	GS After Sale	How many Players
5 4 2
5 5 8

6 5 6
6 6 2

7 5 9
7 6 17

8 5 6
8 6 27
8 7 3

9 6 17
9 7 8

Even when the after sale GS remains at the level of the pre-sale GS (which is seen only at GS level <7), you are experiencing a drop in the GS (the sub-levels). That is easily shown by monitoring the value of the pre-sale DMI and after-sale DMI. For example, one player preserved his GS after the sale at level 6, but the value of DMI had dropped from 30,900 to 25,700 (which is ↓16.83%). This drop will also affect his performance. I'm trying to say that any GS drop, whether it is level or sub-level drop, is important.

As I've mentioned earlier in the thread, it is obvious that there is a random factor in the formula.
