Well, I gave it a valiant run, but IV.34 will not be producing the Cup champion a second year in a row. I thought I had a decent shot today, with my best lineup ready and good Ent. I played it Normal, too. But my opponent was clearly stronger, plus at home. Oh well ... Now it's time to figure out how much salary I really want to carry in this league with no Cup income anymore.

Well, I just tanked out of the notorious USA II.4. I'm just trying to stay up in D III while training my HoF draftee. At this point, it looks like getting 6th and winning the relegation series is how this season will end. Assuming, of course, no big injuries and the 7th and 8th place teams don't try to compete harder.

I've invested in a couple serious additions, and have unloaded a trainee that simply wouldn't be getting any minutes this season.

Yeah I'd say 2 guys with 1mil plus DMI is a pretty serious investment lol. It's nuts that you're sitting in 6th place with a +100 points rating and a 5-5 record. That's just freakin brutal

One of my investments wasn't quite fitting in with my team, so I'm unloading him. Time to start looking for the next acquisition...

Utopia is still holding my interest. I've always wanted to do a homegrown team and see how it goes, and so it is a lot of fun thus far. It is interesting, as each season odds are I'll get at least two prospects worth training. Logically, I can only really focus on four or five trainees at a time (I don't want to play six guys 48 minutes a game in one game each per week, as that leaves my team too weak since my trainees are also some of my best players).

So with new prospects each season, the two 'lesser' trainees from the prior season will end up out of the training schedule. Obviously, this will become a much harder choice as the seasons progress. Sooner or later I'll be able to sell a player or two, and then invest that money into my arena. Right now, I'm below the salary floor, so I'm carrying more players than I need to carry as my scrubs are not worth selling and I won't save any money by letting them go.

One of my favorite things about this game is playing teams from all around the world as well. I booked a scrimmage with an Israel team once and they sent me a "Welcome to Israel" message.

Small town Tennessee sounds like a peaceful place to be. I've visited Nashville a few times. Loved it.

I'm from France, a little city near Orléans. I'm here since april this year, before i was in french polynesia, at Rangiroa atoll.
That's why my teams sound like polynesian

I grew tired of the second team as well somewhere halfway down the first season. So I decided to go back to what I like most, which is training youngsters. I sold most my players and tried to loose as much as possible to gain a good draft position. With which I drafted Corcoran (34207968). The first season I had already bought me some mediocre youngsters, I kept two for this season, bought a cheap Dutch talent (I'm Dutch) with a high potential and another Utopia trainee. I'm training these guys this season and next season I'll pick three of them and continue training them.

So, as you might have figured by now I am from the Netherlands from the fourth city of the country which is right in its heart... Utrecht. Some say it's a miniture version of Amsterdam because of the fact we have canals as well. But it's less known than Amsterdam so there are less tourists, which makes it better for locals and more cosy. There is also a relatively larger student body (percentagewise) which makes it an energetic and very much alive city.

Originally I'm from the south from a small town called Vught, which is where one of the two major concentration camps in the Netherlands was during the Second World War (the other being Westerbork, where Anne Frank was sent too).

Uhm, why have the conference finals already been filled in while the games have not been played yet?

That is certainly rather strange.

Incredibly strange. Was it like that before tactics were finalized?
