Can someone confirm that older players with potential " allstar* " can NOT be trained further than the new ones with potential "allstar"?

Confirmed. *allstar* and allstar are the same potentials. Players generated before the implementation of the potential system were all given a potential of *allstar*.

according to bb-stats they are a bit different i suppose. allstar* is a better trainee at same age, at least it says so but i am not sure if it is a reliable info.

If it's allstar, it's allstar whether or not it has an asterisk.

They are definitely the same. Since an allstar* potential player may have received training before the potential system was implemented, the effect of potential may not have affected their past training (very very long ago). Allstar potential is allstar potential with or without the asterisk, no difference.

I am just asking myself if any potential above allstar is really "necessary" - I dont see the advantage you have with higher potentials unless you want to train a 200k+ player who rarely can be afforded by teams. I seem to have overrated potential in the past.

imo sticking with players who can reach 50k+ salaries is enough in the BB universe, isnt it?

Maybe it is now, in small countries, but in the future I think you're going to have trouble making it to the top divisions with a 50k centre, for example. There are changes coming to merch and tv revenue that are going to make 100k+ players more affordable.

Hi, those numbers are not the ones I did, you can fin the true numbers here.

(88737.4)

GrFlur maybe tried to post the old one (I did one when the potentials appeared), it was close with the low potentials but definitevely failed with high potentials (I didnt guess that the curve was as exponential as it was).

Those are the numbers translated:

bench warmer - 8k
role player -13k
6th man - 15-17k
starter - 21-24k
star - 33-40k
allstar
- 40-65k
perennial allstar - 80-100k
superstar - 125-145k
MVP -165-195k
hall of famer - Unknown
all-time great - Unknown

I did this table after following hundreds of players training and their development. It was made 3 months ago, now I would correct the low potentials, I would say that bench warmers, role players and 6th man are a little bit over their real limits. They reach their cap earlier, maybe 3-4k earlier.

Regards.

You do keep in mind that players can be trained even after reaching their potential, they will just do so slower. We have several allstars on the Bulgarian National team that have salaries in the 80-100k range.
