TV money has not changed yet. Has not. I'm looking at my economy page right now. It shouldn't change until the update after Saturday's games (Sunday night/Monday morning or whenever it is).

Unfortunately, our TV contract is shown—and did go down. With so many of our salaries going up—the Riverdogs are at $398K—I agree wholeheartedly with Rambo. I'm not sure where the $ are going to come from. And we still have to deal with that obnoxious 9for lack of a better word) fan survey—ugh!

TV contract average is down because all of us ex-III teams got our old TV rev last week, and then promoted and dragged down your average. If you look at your finances, you got the same amount Monday that you got in previous weeks. The actual Season 12 TV revenue will be known next Monday, when everyone will get the new II.4 revenues.

I wasn't trying to point out why our revenue went down:-) I was just pointing out that yes, we did get the season 11 revenue Monday, but on our economy page it does show what I believe will be our new TV revenue.

I hate these goddamned forums and their timeouts. There, I said it.

Anyway, what you said may or may not be true, and I can see the figure in the Baseline Weekly Economy that everyone's talking about. But if it is a $4k/week reduction, who cares? If your team is going to struggle financially, I doubt an extra $4k/week (around $50k per season, mind you) is going to help much. Maybe you should stop investing in the draft, switch out some staff members or sell that overpriced PG.

I have more to say on the subject, but I'm gonna hit send now and hope the text survives this time.

I think he's right about it being an average, as it would be easier to code it that way. The same number appears in the TV contract section of both the "Baseline Weekly Economy" section and the "League Averages from Last Week" section. We could figure it out for certain if these new teams would post what their credited TV money was for the week (including DH, but I think I can dig up that figure from dhoff's post in the season 11 thread, something like $150k).

And what I was saying is that it's extremely unlikely that the TV revenue will be what is currently listed on /manage/economy.aspx under Baseline Weekly Economy, as that number is an average of the 11 of you getting whatever you got on Monday, plus my $77,859, the other three promotees' similar numbers, and the NBBA demotee's number. Whatever TV revenue we will be getting next season (starting next Monday) either hasn't been calculated yet, or has been calculated but isn't being displayed to us yet.

That's exactly how it went last season for me in III.9 -- TV revenue "went down" on the offseason Monday, but then was actually higher for season 11 than for season 10, and the number "corrected itself" after the first economic update of season 11.

I stand corrected!. That TV revenue may indeed be going up is some good news for sure. Thanks again for setting me straight!

Holdover from my academic quizzing days, I'm afraid. Mind like a sieve--except for useless trivia information, in which case I can't get the damn stuff out.

Also, if you use the Manage My Team link, it still has the old TV contract figure.
