Well I will make myself clear.

This thread is dedicated to the possibility to trade a player for a player in the BB world.

The question about what BB is mirroring IRL or how should work the BB draft have no place in this thread and messages about that will be deleted. Period.

BAM!

On a serious note, I don't think that it is possible, without making everyone pay a premium to employ full time staff to check on trades, to change this game to a simple "trading of players etc." game. What is possible is to reduce the effectiveness of day trading.

it wouldn't reduce the effectiness of day trading, unless deals are kept so strict that it is nearly impossible to find some.

I agree that this concept of trading players would not be possible to reduce day trading.

What I meant to say, and I was sure I said it clearly, but sometimes I'm pretty retarded with words so forgive me.. is that it is possible to reduce the effectiveness of day trading. There are a number of ways, it's just choosing the one that is going to negatively affect other parts of the game the least.

This has nothing to do with the trade suggestion. Thanks.

There is no reason that a player will be payed way over his value - it will not happen in the real world (as the value of that player is known).

there are several overpaid player out there(real world), for example lewis or billups who got released through amnesty(which happen quite often in germany). Player value isn't so easy to know, and transfer pricea adjustment areat least for me the taffest at the gm job.(and as you said i am already a trader, and the gm afford extra attention to the TL so maybe i am somekind of an expert there)

None of those players had been payed much over the value of those type of players.
They've got a contract that a player with their stats gets in the NBA.
They had been found not to be worth this much, as they (mainly Lewis) did not show that stats afterwards.

A sure thing is that they did NOT get hundreds of percentage above their market value.

A sure thing is that teams don't make this a hobbit and their main focus on the real world - to find new users that are not familiar with the game and sell them a player way above their value.

The reason why players are not sold way above their value is that the real teams actually have a cue what they are doing. And they may lose their source of income as they get fired due to it also.
What can happen here is that you go bankrupt and have to start over again. And i dont know about you, but that is something that is not all that frightening to most new managers.
And that is why it should be controlled.

Ever since I´ve been watching professional sports overpaying for a player you REALLY want to have on your team was common sense. Do I hear "Juwan Howard"? There´s so many players out there even in the NBA who are paid WAY over their true value just because that denying it seems awkward.
