At the start, figuring out the nomenclature was a challenge for me too, and at times, still is. I'd like being able to toggle between the nomenclature and #'s would for different areas, but it does seem like more of a wish than a need. I don't know how much it bothers others, and how much time and work it'd take to implement that. On the other hand, this new enthusiasm nomenclature was implemented though.

Atrocious to Proficient has become second nature with the GS updates, but I can honestly say I still don't know all 20 skills, potential, roles, staff levels, etc off the top of my head. Pulling up the skill table, a mouse-over, or the very few times I have to look it up isn't that inconvenient to me though.

A BB may have done it in a 1 hr lunch break or he was working on it for 5 minutes a day in his lunch break, coming to this conclusion. Well at least they're still active. BB-Patrick, when will you inform us of the tanking situation?

I like it a lot. I get a lot of BB mails from our users and some don't know what enthusiasm means or why do they play badly after a crunch time. When they see "Entusiasm 5" or "Enthusiasm 8", they don't know what's the difference. However, if they will see a descriptive adjective, they will know their team is badly prepared after a CT.

I guess it depends on how involved you are in the game. When I started, I didn't care for skills above Proficient. Then with each pop I was learning new denominations.

This reminds me of a funny anecdote: After a year of playing BB, my GF asks me "with your memory, I guess you don't know half the skills' name". Then I proceed to go quickly through skills from first to last without blinking. My GF goes "damn you, if your memory was at least half as good when packing things for our weekend getaways!"

Needless to say, we are still leaving important things at home when getting away for weekends...but at least there are two people to blame, heh.

And now I don't know what eager or encouraged means or what the difference is?
Don't you think it is easier to learn plain numbers, than to learn what each adjective represents? Mathematics is universal, everyone knows 2 is better than 1, but adjectives are open to interpretation...

New players mostly play Normal, so they don't see any change from Enthusiasm 5. Now they see "Ready" and if they click on it, they learn immediately there's more levels of enthusiasm.

Some play Crunch time a lot, so they think 5 is maximum...

I agree numbers are easier, but if you don't know what to do with them in the first place, then nomenclature is better.

if you want play well, you read manual, So in rules must be said about ent maximum...


Good luck on that with hundreds of similar sport games...some read the rules first and some don't. I'm sure there are more of those who don't want to bother to read the rules or at least will do that if the game is appealing to them.

The easier the game is understood by newbies, the more people will stay here. Is this really so hard to understand?
