this will end up forcing teams to tank in order to get decent kids to train up.
Eh welcome to reality for 90% of BB users, friend. I think in your little bubble probably you're unaffected by most economy changes...

No matter what it will be a better enviorment for new teams to start in. As it is now i guess many teams just quit as fast as they get how bad it is with active managers.
This is not entirely true. It's possible numbers of managers in those areas will not grow after this change, which means you basically removed all the benefits of being a micronation (and there are plenty, mainly in respect of the economy) without really improving their enjoyment of the game.

I never wrote anything on the micronation thread as this change does not touch me and I felt like that's a matter for micronations' managers to decide on.

You, as you often do, already made your mind that whatever is being done is good because it is being done and whoever else is 'negative'. I'm sure you should listen, especially in this case, where you have no business being involved in the discussion since Sweden is not a micronation. Yet.

Have to agree here. Seriously, nicknames? How much time and resources were spent on this piddly thing? Completely useless imo. Like buying a car with an added cup holder, but it's outside the passenger compartment on the roof! But it's new! for model x 2038!

What's your assessment of the situation in respect of micronations? I'm sure you've discussed this among the staff. What do you expect from it? More teams? Or do you think the userbase in those nations will shrink as a direct result of the change, but you may recover users in the long term?

I think the possibility of some long standing users quitting is very real and in some cases 1 or 2 leaving is a very big deal. South Africa for example has 12 users (it's the largest African nation), say 3 people leave and it's -25%. In fact in total all African nations have 48 users altogether, it can shrink substantially if some people leave which will leave you with a D1 and bot filled D2s.

There lies the other problem all these teams are now competing in D1, what are you going to do in the first season after then merge? Create 4 D1s and then demote 36 teams?

I reallly like and want the nicknames. Why you talk for everybody? Yes, the fan survey issue is pretty annoying and it must be the priority.

But You DON'T have the power for think or give an opinion for me

The economy impact of the changes is huge.... 60k in salaries raises and just 2k in TV contract improvement. Maybe it must be recalculated. Give to the teams the chance to buy players according to the salary floor... maybe a second negotiation of tv contract in the all star break.

Good one, in Nigeria, 10 active team atm but 3 team signed up and never came back. It's huge for a community

I don't think 90% of users are fighting over kids to make sure they in end up in their country. Imagine the uk merged and scottish teams tank in all divisions, get all the hall of famers. Sounds fair for the english teams to just play perennial allstars for the seniors?
The draft will need to be adjusted of course, but that is a problem as a nation not individually. Each of you people in micronations individually can get MUCH better draftees on average than users who are in league with more human users.

So I agree that as a nation it's not good it would starve micronations of trainable players even more than now. Individually you are basically just get the same deal everyone else has.

Besides, in you example the Scots would get shafted because they would be the minority and there would be a much higher chance that some English manager tanks for picks. So I think you have that reversed.
