You're wrong, you're leaving out the elastic effect.

Why do you say I don't train players? From where you drew that absurd conclusion, you're a troll from what I see.

Just a piece of advice for my last message to you in this thread - it is extremely difficult to learn and develop (in every context) while one maintains the "I know everything" attitude.

I would still pick the 18 y.o. and strangely enough the reason why has nothing to do with elastics. I saw Alonso mention it in a post of his that I came across recently. Maybe you can go through his posts - there's something to learn from many of them.

However the fact that we are having this discussion means that 75 as a hard TSP threshold for 19 yo draftees with increased skills would be close to optimal.

BBB: 2 (S37 S38); Top tier: 7 (S35 S36 S37 S38 S39 S41 S63); Cup: 9 (S25 S35 S36 S37 S38 S39 S40 S41 S61)

I'm inclined to agree that 75 might be a bit too much. 65 is too low though, as there already are a bunch of 19 yo draftees with higher TSP.

70-75 is the range we should consider but what's more important is how it will be achieved.

Yeah, well... I was trying to pick a quote to address but I would have to quote the whole thing. This is exactly my thought process - piece by piece. I couldn't agree more with everything that you wrote, I just didn't want to serve it here right away.

Elastics could be compensated in the 20 yo training season and what you refer to as "losing rhythm" is just the way that we are accustomed to doing it right now. We would still get those fast initial OD pops and those ID cross-pops, just a little later in time and that would be compensated by the higher initial levels of the 19 yo trainee to a great extent. This:

...with 7 8 useless SB, u could argue that 6-8 reb for guards is also bad...
however is what I was referring to and this is a huge reason why the 19 y.o. would be the worse pick. It would cripple his max build and with the speed of training right now - that's what matters the most.
