You are not taking into consideration the random factor that is distributing skills to a drafted player.

Not all 19 YO will have "proficient" on skills that are hard to train (and those who have will be somehow "worthless" because their skills that are easy to train will be low), but some of them will yes, that is the whole point of the change.

The top 18 YO drafts so far, are much much better (in the long run) than the best 19 yo drafts and it is somehow unfair or rather worthless to train a 19 yo right now because they miss a whole season of training compared to 18 YO. I get your point but just look at the prices of 18 and 19 yo drafts in the beginning of each season, almost nobody buys 19 yo at a high price with very , very VERY! few exceptions

My point with numbers : I have a 20 yo right now in my utopian team. He got 31 pops in total at his first 2 seasons of training. My trainers were lvl 5 basic trainer and lvl 6 youth trainer .

He got 18 pops in DR HN IS JS from one on one training and 13 pops in PA OD ID JR . 21 of his total pops were in his first season of training and only 10 in his second season of training.

Untill this change, no way you could build the same player with the same skillset if you drafted him @ 19 yo. Even with this change I am quite sure that the best pool of 18 yo players will still be more valuable to train than the best pool of 19 yo

It's very understandable your Anxiety about these announced changes sir... but they actually didn't have told what the formula for the 19 yo TSP improvement... if it really is a maxed 90 TSP that will be randomly distributed to the 10 main skills... and the probability of having that kind of player will still be the same as having an ATG player... Not just like to the other Announcement that Jump Shot and Jump Range become a small part of the Freethrow equation...

the last change in the STA brings some slight difficulties on getting 48 minutes to some players... hope they can also resolve this too soon...

I play the game since season 11 with two breaks. I know a thing or two about training speed but whatever, lets just wait and see what happens. Training simulators are worthless when u dont have the data. In 1-2 seasons from now we will know if the change was for the good or not

With all the respect, your example is far fetched, how many 19 yo drafts will have all their skills strong? We will have the data when the drafts are out. Simulators are fine but they are just simulators, no one knows the exact formula of skill and decimals distribution of a draftee. Comparing a specific 18 yo with average skills with a 19 yo with strong skills doesnt depict accurately what will happen, it is just a tree not the whole forest. I get your point and on certain few occasions you are right but the big picture here is that 19 yo drafts are at a disadvantage right now

Some 19 yo. players have so much advantage that no 18 yo. can compete with. In some NT's there are 19 yo drafted players with like average TSP 52-55, soon to hit 160's and being the starters in way above average NT rosters.

The reason you do not see them is because very rarely people sell these gems. We had for example excellent height guard with ALL inside skills lvl 8 and also with high sublevels And i just do not see how anyone can catch him up 160 tsp easy flat

These guys have coming IN the inside training seasons same inside skills as other guards are coming OUT of

Exactly...SOME ! And my impression is that these players are very few. 52-55 TSP isnt anything special unless of course they have their difficult skills to train @ 7 or 8. In my national team the suggestion is 60 tsp minimum for 19 yo and my national team isnt even in the best teams in the world. My two cents to the OP and to all users who dont like this change is that we cant evaluate it untill it happens. What ur talking about is the exception of exceptions Im talking about the big picture. Till now the top 50 18 yo drafts in the world are much better than the top 50 19yo drafts . Most people sell drafts not train them

In the beginning of this season did you observe how much 18yo NT prospects were sold? And compare them to the 19 yo with good/equivalent skillset also ? Because I did for the past 2-3 seasons and the difference is huge.

I dont doubt your facts its just that the picture I see is different, maybe I am wrong maybe I am not

Yeah, but the point stands - why should they be able to have a chance to catch up?

The whole situation is rather balanced now. 18 year olds will still be favored, and if there's 19yolds that cant be cought up to it isn't a bad thing.

Buffing 18 year olds would just make 95% of 19 year olds worthless again.
