I simply used the numbers to reject the notion of Trainerman saying that some nations are over presented. Numbers show the contrary !

Of course there would be pros and cons to playing in different countries, macro nations get tons of high potential players each season in draft, and a lot of our youth goes to waste, but we don't cry out imbalance because of it. I have been the U21 of Iran for about 5 season now and we get very little high potential players in the draft because of our low number of users. Many of the youth go to bot teams in DIII and it is frustrating sometimes.

:D

We try our best to make the best of what we have instead of looking for a scapegoat.

BB says they are trying to make national competition more competitive by merging the nations, why not instead put the high potential players who go to bot teams in micro nations on the market ? That would certainly lead to more trained youth for micro nations, thus more competitive games

Interesting idea that, maybe acertain percent of HoF+ potential draftee could go to free agency every season. The percentage being based on number of users for that nation? Would impact the price of draftees on real teams though but sounds a good idea in theory.

Why use the odds of 1 champion ?

For example a shop wants to know how much the products make for him or her. He/she won't just look at the yesterdays sells and then conclude and interpret based on just that one day !! He/she will probably take a look at the sells of past month, even better the past year for a better outlook and view.

This is the same in here, if we are talking about the BB in whole, and we're discussing how BB should move forward, we can't just say (based on your logic):

1 guy from Moldova has won the B3:

1/20000 = 0.00005 % -----> So if the odds says that he's odds of winning are one in 20000 tries, then he shouldn't have won 1 in the 29 times the B3 have been held. And remember this is based on your logic !! So by your logic, we conclude that micro nations are over presented because he/she overcame the odds !!

That's just ridiculous ! We must look at the bigger picture and consider the numbers in whole. The overall numbers are those that I presented you. And the numbers say that the distribution of champions are not odd at all. They are pretty much as they should be. But then again, remember that this is not a game of odds. A lot and a lot more different factors weigh in and affect the outcome of every game, let alone the B3.

Yeah, I mean BB-Ryan insists that the idea of merging the nations is because they want more competitive NT competitions. I'm sure there are ways that can be arranged to achieve that goal, other than by merging the nations !!

One way is the thing that I mentioned. Also I think that this way, by adding some high potential players to the market, the prices will definitely come down, thus leading to more youth accessibility and youth training, which can improve the competitiveness that BBs are looking for

LOL !!

It's like arguing with a 5 year old

:D

I keep saying that this is not a game of ODDS. You can't say that just because Italy has the most users, they should have more champions. All you can do statistically, is to take a look at the numbers as a whole. I'm getting tired of explaining the same thing over and over again. Numbers are as I provided you. You can accept them, or you can keep ignoring them

i think the merger is really about making competitive leagues. If you sign up and join a league with one other manager who has been playing a while, you will have a crap time and probably quit very quickly. I see why they are trying to do something, though I think a country like Iran should be exempt.

Definitely worth making the point about high pot. draftees from smaller nations though. Would improve the game.

Well thank you !!!

:D

Tell that to BB-Ryan

But on a more serious note, I think this is just not fair to do so, even to very small countries.

You'll have a long time to plan for that party.
Based on the current trend rate of decline since August 17th of last year until this past Monday, we will hit 10K users sometime between November 8th and November 15th... in the year 2021.

Using the slower decline rates that have been taking place in the more recent three months, it would take until July 2028.

Reading through both of your analyses, I tend to think that the basis of the probability to be considered should be framed more around the number of BBB Teams from each country, not the number of users from each country, since you really can only win BBB if you're in the BBB. Micro or Macro, each country can only add one user per season, right?
