well, the player i purchased was likely a better match for you then the one that was injured. while the guy i lost today didnt help, still running a serious payroll advantage.

i said it in another thread, we're all dead if you find some specialty outside bigs ala the specialty inside guards we have for look inside.

Congrats on the win. Huge 4th quarter for the Airballers.

Sadly, I have already been frustrated by my teams lack of ability to win on the road, but we can't win on a nuetral court either :-( Ohhh well, we are a little further off than I thought...Time to say goodbye to Bland, bank some money, and rebuild for next season.

Thanks for the congrats. Dont worry, I was around 2-42 on the road my first couple seasons in the NBBA.

I think I may have underestimated the effectiveness of 2-3 zone, because the rebounding differential was devastating. I would just say you need a SF and a little more PA and you're golden, but idk what's going to happen with the GE, plus brian and SM aren't going anywhere.

I don't get how your OD has gotten that good. I mean, it's always been great, but it feels like it's improved in the ratings over this past season despite none of your guys being trainable. And your enthusiasm is usually always around max in prior seasons too.

I'm so confused as to your teams builds, not sure how you're doing an outside offense with that low salary while still putting up good flow and otherworldly defense.

Stamina training. I don't really have backups, at PG/SG I use three combo guards with very similar skill sets, so by playing blank and training stamina their minutes don't increase, but their performance does.

I don't see how being in first place with the highest PD disqualifies you from being a competitive team... regardless, I hope Bland finds a good new home *cough* other NBBA managers *cough*

Well, I never said we weren't competitive :-) I just said we were falling short on the road. If we can't beat Airballers on a nuetral court...there is no chance of getting an upset win on the road against them, King Drive, Silverbacks, or any quality Big 8 team should we even be fortunate enough to make the finals. There are no points, (or money) for finishing in 2nd place, or lower.

I love my team, but it's obviously not championship caliber...and we aren't getting any younger...my team (players) value will only go down with every passing week from here...and with no promotion bonus to look forward to, or any other significant income stream, staying status quo is only going to put me in a financial bind with a bunch of old farts in a few seasons.

I think it makes more sense to take a step back right now, bank some money, and build with an eye of a long term future, while those decisions are still mine to make and my hand isn't forced because I am receiving bankruptcy warning BB-mails.
