S16 - SBBL League - Lycans Ly-egg? Piermarco Aguirre big 3 pointer won Chai Chee, kept Lycans winless.

Perhaps something personal from the last Chai Chee Cup games, and it was poor Lycans as the victim.

Lycans seems secured their first win as Chai Chee kept bricking jumpshot, trailing 91-95. But as the coach reminded all Chai Chee's player on how bitter was their last Tournament loss, Peres Rannon hit a jumper, then after Michiyaki Tayama commited a travel, Aguirre hit the big one dagger 3 pointer over Lau Chin Jin to bring Chai Chee ahead 96-95 with 13 seconds left. With Lycans possession next, again Lau CJ did another fatal ones with botched out a pass. Mike Bertero actually stole it back with 5 seconds left, but Michiaki Tayama was unable to convert a desparate layup, and Chai Chee escaped with the wild W. Perez Rannon led Chai Chee with 22 pts and 27 rebs, Aguirre with 20pts.

Already hobbled without their leader FSX, Lycans only hope is to win the home game. But instead saw them on a 0-5 hole as the horn sounded. Bertero did all his best to win Lycans, but his season high 42pts was not enough as Chai Chee tore Lycans almost inside at all. Yeo Teck Seng was limited on his playing time as he sprained his ankle, scored 11pts in 18minutes.

Another winless team in SBBL is the favourite Sing Ballers with 0-5, as the are still in commitment on Singapore League.

At WTD Arena, Noel Lima & Émilien Montiel each scored 22pts to bring Singapore Showstoppers to hold host Sessioes Doers 116-108. SD's Ace card Ricardo Paz were hit on a layup by Alfredo Coutinho at 1st quarter and need to left the game. Although Lim Wee Min covered his space and led the team with 28pts, but still not enough to save SD from their homecourt.

Meanwhile on Eric Arena, Milan Vukic dropped 22pts and 11rebs to lead Eric Utd win from visitor Shohoku Backers 90-78. Cataldo Momente led SHB with 19pts 11rebs, Sertug Acay 16pts 15rebs. Aniol Soler were held to 9pts (4/11 shooting) and 5 asts.

Other result :
Esplanade Basketball Club @ Whampoa Allstars : 86 - 130
Pekanbaru Jaguars @ Crystal Chambers Cavaliers : 93 - 60
Fat Alexander @ Bobbleheads : 96 - 87
Shwe Toe Ngal @ Singapore Ballers : 107 - 85

S16 - SGP Tournament - Round 3 : Fat-A eliminated Eric United 96-77 behind Montecucco 30pts.

Another tough Tournament match for Eric United as they were again to be forced out of tournament earlier although they have enough cores to stay longer.

Matched with quick and flashy Fat-A wing players, Eric were trailed as much as 20 before halftime. NT Yeo Tse Hui was killing all Eric United's defender, hitting shot from almost everywhere to rack as much as 15pts at halftime. The game turned into blowout as Fat-A lead bulged to 70-39 with 2 minutes left on 3rd quarter. Fat-A emptied their bench at 4th quarter, allowed Eric's to mend up the deficit 31-18, making the score much respectable with 96-77.

Montecucco has team high 30pts, scored his 14pts at 4th quarter to prevent Eric making some run. Yeo Tse Hui With 23pts. Romeo Amarilla shot 7/9 FT, 3/3 from downtown for his 17pts on the night. Hipólito Achahuanco led Eric Utd with 14pts and 10rebs.

S16 - SBBL League - FXS healthy, Lycans finally nabbed their 1st win

Led by Ooi Tse Cheng's 28pts, Lycans finally back to their old self, riding FSX existence to wipe out Singapore Ballers 112-54. FXS scored 15pts and 13rebs, still looked sluggish after 3 weeks absences. Fellow Tan Yau Chang also scored 19pts.

The most notable, new acquisition Soh Qiang Leong, played his first game against his old team, he scored 9pts and 10rebs. "feels weird," said Soh, "I've been growing up with this team, and now I'm on another team. It's sad to leave because those moment i've been through in four season with them."

Swapped French Giant Patrice Caumont with Italian Alvise Gargano, the new Sing Ballers bigman also wasn't playing his best game, shot 9/22 from the field, but still scored 18pts and 17rebs.

With their new member Soh Qiang Leong and Yeo Teck Seng, plus FSX comeback, the Lycans could be dangerous again if all their squad stay healthy at whole season.

At Cheesecake arena, Shohoku Backers need OT to outlast the host Cheesecake. Sebastian Darras and Aljaz Smrecnik scored 14 of 18pts in the extra time to win Shohoku with final score 115-108. Darras scored team high 32pts, and Smrecnik with 17pts. Cheesecake Tan Kim Wai led with 30pts. Justin Liepins 20pts.

S16 - SGP Tournament - Round 4 : Whampoa All-Stars cruised past Fat Alexander 118-90.

Gianpaolo Montecucco think he's already done his best, but the opponent is the three-time tournament Champs.

Whampoa tuned up their engine on 2nd quarter and took 59-48 lead to halftime, then the Polish Bomber Konrad Krassowski keep dropping the longranges, and Ng Chao Huat hardly missed any shots, and finally Whampoa able to let their bench players into the court at 4th, ending the fight at 118-90. Krassowski scored teamhigh 25pts, hitting 5 treys, and Ng Chao Huat hit 9/10 FG to score 22pts and 7asts. Veteran Omri Arnon has 20pts 8rebs 5asts. Arthur Hottinger come off the bench to drop 16pts in 18minutes.

Meanwhile Fat-A's Montecucco was the only ones shined for the team, bursted for 42pts. Karel Jagganathan and Foong Chin Huat has 14pts each.

At Showstoppers arenas, Singapore Showstoppers able to survive the Shwe Toe Ngal 129-113. STN, who used smaller lineup for their trademark Run & Gun, excelled on 1st half before Noel Lima from Showstoppers start his work, and lasted until end of the game. Edmundo Cabral lead team with 23pts 7ast 6rebs 4stl, Noel Lima 22pts & 14pts (8/11 FG).

STN's Vicente Perez Ponce led with 26pts, Celso Valente, an SG started at C has 24pts, hit 6/9 from three point range. local player Othman Ib Berahim has 21pts.

On other games, Esplanade Basketball Club has no difficulty to eliminate Singapore Ballers 78-46. Juan Allister and Donato Luperto led the team with 15pts. Alvise Gargano, still look unconfortable, shot only 6/19 FG and has 27rebs though.

Shohoku Backers also had no problem to shut down Bobblehead 132-85. Cataldo Momente led Backers with 22pts and Kostis has 20pts. Sašo Lenkić led Bobblehead with 40pts & 11rebs.

Key Matches Next week : "You better don't miss this!! "

Whampoa Allstars (rank 2) @ Shohoku Backers (rank 1). Again, an encore from the last year Tournament battle. Too bad they meet earlier again this season. Will Whampoa end their 4th Championship quest at Shohoku Arena next week?

It's fate.. Base on track record, I have never win you in tournament, so I'm the underdog here.

But this time it wont be easy..
