ill defend wolph a bit

being a supporter i dont get ads much

just before i log in and on mbbit the in game chat

but i get things like financial advice & mmorpgs both of which i have no interest in

hot japanese ladies are a lot more likely to be in my browser history than accounting software, but that is what i get!

What are you even talking about. Several people have verified, that adsense does, in fact, work the way I said, I thought it did. Yet you say we are all wrong.

Whatever.

Stay in your other reality.

A. I'm not defending the web advertisers. Just stating how they work.

B. You admit you do go gaming on your work computer. So you game advertisements. Just so happens, that maybe the most advertised game, uses ads with lots of cleavage and suggestive innuendos. That doesn't mean you had to have porn on your browsing history to see these types of ads.

C. Someone in your office, may visit a dating site, so then again you get a popular advertisement that uses lewd/suggestive ads. Again it doesn't mean you've been looking at porn.

Thats all I'm saying. I'm not defending anyone or attacking anyone.

Well, you are to some degree interested in mmorpgs and financial stuff, since this is a (economics) management game and a mmo..., just not an rpg. that´s not THAT far off, isn´t it? And if you don´t have any information about the guy you´re trying to hit him with SOMETHING, and if all you know is that he´s (a) playing online games and (b) playing a management game, I can tell you where they are coming from.

Wolph - why do you take everything so personal? Honestly, it´s quite common sense that public computers actually consume PLENTY porn, and if you´re one of many users, the theory that the history of your system leads to the advertisements you´re getting is by no means a personal attack against you. It´s just some kind of explanation, which may help you solve your problem: try to clean as much history (cache, cookies, maybe switch URL if you have the power to do so) as you can get your hands on, and with some (solid) possibility you might see less raunchy advertising.
