That last spike could be due to your promotion. You might see a further adjustment up next week.

I also get the sense this year that the merchandise adjustment for the new season was delayed a week, and that the 5/21 lower point from this season is what usually occurred on the monday of the season rollover. I had no real change, but I was expecting a nice boost after my home drafted trainees had decent sized salary increases. BB-Marin essentially said (here or in the similar thread on the "Bugs" forum" that this week would be low, and it would increase over the next few weeks, with the largest rise during the 5/28 econ update. So there's hope!

I know its due to my promotion, and I'll get more next week due to my player being added to the U21.. just wanting to show off ;)

I don't think I'll have an increase on Monday just yet, as the match is only played after the financial update, so therefor there won't be an effect as off yet. I will let you know though, if I don't, remind me :p

was your U21 player a home drafted player?

The anecdotal reports I've seen kinda suggest that the maximal return you get from merchandise might be capped, and that home drafted players are already close to the cap. That would mean that putting that player on the U21 doesn't really increase merch that much.

But, I definitely think that the merch earned from a player is a function of their salary, so the relatively lowish salaries of U21 guards might not show up as a huge spike.

Sorry, I wasnt clear. I think each individual player has a cap on what he'll return in merchandise, and that cap is a certain % of his own salary.

Whether there is a second cap on total sum of merchandise your team can get, maybe based on Division level, I'm not sure.
