Kitchener Hi-Toppers 14 27 21 26 88
Murfs Blue Devils 17 27 17 18 79

Lots of eyes were on this scintillating Round 5 tilt, won by KHT by a score of 88-79. There were a total of 13 lead changes and 1 tie during the close game.

The Blue Devils came out with an inspired look inside offense, and they led after the 1st and 2nd quarters. The Hi-Toppers found a rhythm after the half and won the 3rd and 4th quarters.

Point guard Paolo Angiolini led the visitors to victory with 24 points. A strange statistic showed 0 assists for him and just 8 for the entire team.

Big man Yiannis Vrochopoulos had a monster game in defeat, scoring 29 points and bringing down 21 boards. More touches for him, or more trips to the foul line for the Devils could have swung the game in their favor.

The next round of games in a week's time signals the end of the bots, and some spicy match-ups are sure to follow.

If you remember me, then I don't care if everyone else forgets.

Due to the quoting at first I saw 42 - 3 in terms of rank and thought how was this possible. Then I saw the 9 at the end of the next line :p

Aerosol? Whatever. Close enough.

That would be a creative name for a team, though.

Haha sorry on a phone so checking names isn't the most convenient. Unless you injure half your team I'm not sure I'm winning :p

Emo Squad 19 15 16 17 67
MBCT 32 28 22 32 114

Tedix from Emo Squad foretold a blowout loss and the premonition came true with a 114-67 beat-down. MBCT took just 9 minutes to build a double digit lead and they poured it on from there. Even the subs in garbage time padded their +/- numbers.

Darko Korolija wheeled and dealed, totaling 22 points and 8 assists running the MBCT offense. Finn Dohet had 18 points, 8 rebounds and 5 blocks in just 18 minutes before taking a hard shot and sitting the rest of the game out for precautionary measures.

Emo PG Pino Mascetti scored 24 points on 22 shots, but could not get his teammates involved enough and he ended with a lone assist. Team thug Brett Grothe (Canada's answer to Bill Laimbeer) fouled out in 31 minutes in his second ejection of the year and fifth of his short career.

*Remember, with a win in Tuesday's cup game, you will have another on Thursday!*
