Given that that it's written pretty directly, I struggle to find a different interpretation -- but that's just me.

From the rules
Players who do not play much each week tend to lose focus and their Game Shape will be sloppy. Players who play too much in a week will get tired and their Game Shape will also be low-quality. These changes are gradual, and will build up over a few weeks' time.

what I do understand from this, is that, if you start from low game shape, you need to give the right amount of minutes for a few weeks' time to get to high game shape. So, even with 60 minutes you can't expect a player to go from awful to strong game shape in a single week.
Similarly, if you start from proficient game shape and your player plays 120 minutes one week, his game shape won't drop to inept immediately.

But unlike you (and many others) I do think that the calculation of game shape only considers the minutes played in the last week.

i think the 2 ideas are really the same
you have a current GS that factors the past weeks minutes, and the current minutes

Given that I've seen players go from strong to mediocre within a single week, I beg to differ -- but again, that's just me. This can quite easily be checked, if someone is interested enough to collect the data.

Previous weeks certainly do have an impact on game shape changes.

NO ONE at this table ordered a rum & Coke

does game shape have the same effect as stamina? say 2 players with the exact same skills sets playing at the exact same situation in a game, one has high stamina but low game shape, the other has low stamina but high game shape, will both player perform the same?

If you exclude backups, and let them play for the same amount of time, then IMHO high GS and low ST will perform better.
He will start with good performance (let's say 10) (high GS) and relatively quickly degrade to low performance (let's say 4), on average that's around 6.
The high ST and low GS guy will start with low performance (let's say 4) but will keep that performance for a long time... On average that's a 4.

I have one question...

It is about doctor with massage specialty...and it says:
Massage: Players who play too many minutes in a given week will not experience as severe a drop in game shape.

My question is does the level of doctor affect how much he will reduce "too many minutes" in game shape?
Or specialty is specialty no matter of staff level it has same effect for all?

And what is the perfect number of minutes that player can play weekly that his GS doesn't drop (with massage doctor)?

The specialty works at the same level regardless of the level of staff.

You know you're not getting an answer for this.
