Neither of the players you have named made the All Star team in their rookie year (Thank you Google) Both of them made it in their second season thou which is still pretty good no matter what age you join the league.

I'm not trying to say that their are no good players in the NBA that joined the league at a later age, I was trying to make a point as to why you have to pla your trainee to get full training.

You're reading it wrong. David Robinson's first season was 1989-90, with the All-Star game being played in February 1990. Mutombo's first season was 1991-92, and made the '92 All-Star game as an injury reserve.

Both made the All-Star team in their first NBA season.

Is there an issue with the minutes in the PF/C positions in my most recent league match? I played both PF and C as starter/backup/reserve and SFDC.

Marietta Magic vs. Spumante Pistons 25 - 0 (20389888)

It was a walkover, so I'm not sure how that plays into it, but both PF and C played 43 minutes, and no backups appear to have played.

In a walkover the minutes are distributed slightly different and the minutes per position don't have to add up to 48. This distribution means that it is impossible for a player to get 48 minutes in this circumstance.

And if I could play my starters in the regular games, and then my backups in the scrimmage...I would love that!

Am I missing something? You are able to do this... the scrimmages don't mean anything. All they are really used for is to get minutes for whichever player you want minutes.

In fact, I do just as you suggest... I play my starters during the league games and my backups during scrimmages. I also sub out almost all of my starters to make sure they do not get any minutes during the scrimmages.

My minute distribution has been much better since I posted my frustrations, but what I was meaning when I said that above, is that following the game I was frustrated about, my backcourt had 47 minutes. So if I started my starters again for the next game, then I had to be concerned about a similar minute total, in which my backcourt starters would have 94 minutes each, which is not a good thing.

So what I was intending to convey when I said that, was I wish I could play my starters freely, without concern that two games will burn them out, and then let the backups have the scrimmage. If the minute distribution is better, then obviously, playing the starters for 2 games, and the backups in the scrimmage works great...buf if your starters get 40 minutes a game or more, that is not good for your game shape.

Play your PG at starter and reserve and someone else at backup it gets em about 30-35 mins = 60-70 mins a week in league games then sit them for scrimmages and use your backups and backup backups. It's realistic if you use it right

i fully agree, i hate it for many seasons now, if you in the cup you need also an extra team, i dont like that, gameshape/training minutes its a mess.
