My first contact with Buzzerbeater was after I read about it in a magazine. When I opened the page those lines were the first things I noticed. They seemed like written by children so I had second thoughts. I searched the net for similar games found one. Asked around from my friends and none played BB one played the other game. After that I read the article again from the magazine. Love for basketball took over and I created the account and I did not regret doing so. Now I see the first page about 2-3 seconds before I log in so the lines do not bother me but they might influence players who think about signing up.

Sure, i'm maybe just sour because i spent a fair while typing out a post to have it disregarded and closed very quickly (without even a link to the previous thread).

I usually do link to the old thread, and that's sloppy on my part, no excuses.

You're allowed to have your opinion, and it looks like Charles would like to solicit some new quotes, so you have a chance to help change what we have.

Whatever my opinion is isn't going to change that, nor does it automatically discount your opinion.

Well, I agree that those quotes don't make you regiter at all. Maybe the contrary. i think you have to play the game few days to get the point of that joke. BTW I would like them to be in some hiding menu just to feel more comfortable when you login somewhere where strangers can look at you monitor and see those childish pictures:)

Those quotes kind of deterred me first time I saw them, before registering.

My favorite basketball related quote:

"Once I scored a basket that still makes me laugh."

Once I scored a basket that still makes me laugh.

I don't mind the current ones but agree with the people who said they should rotate.

I actually think the internet game quote is funny. I didn't at first, but I used that "made for Tv" voice. You know, "Chopping my eggs is such a pain." or "Isn't there an easier way to store my plastic bags?"

The other one blows.

Try:

"You won't believe how addictive this game is! It's like coffee for your brain."

"My wife doesn't know about my affair with BuzzerBeater. If she did, it may end up being a threesome."
