Out of interest, does anyone know if an 8th seed has won it before?


8th seeds get relegated..... fourth seed is the lowest that can win it all.

Well he's probably saying he had the worst record of the 8 playoff teams. I don't know the answer to that but it's only 22 seasons to page through.

Yeah, that's what I was saying. I'm just lazy but I'll have a look. Realistically it was a strange year, with rd1 opponent throwing etc.

EDIT: So yeah, not happened. Coco won from a 3rd seed (own conference and overall) position season 18, Demon Hoosiers won from 5th seed in season 2. Interesting how many times it's happened in the game (all nations) though. Also, old KDB / Ice Storm dominance was crazy.
