I wish we will see a good game and no injuries. It's my first official game as a U21 coach and I think it's the same for you. I'm a bit nervous, haha

Good luck!

Looks like a good start for you. I hope we can catch up, but it doesn't look like that's going to be easy. Good luck to you for the remaining games from the ex-U21 Coach :-)

I'm playing what best suits my players...we don't have any shooting guards as you can see and we have an advantage inside against you. And we have good passers. From there the choice wasn't hard.

like 99% of the other teams

If you are reading global english forums, you'd see I'm one of the first who wants look inside weakend. U21 is another story though; flashy hardly means anything if you can't win.

Thanks Wendell! Next three games are tough, but with victory against Germany in first round everything seems a bit easier. Based on forums from our rivals (France, Greece, Denmark and Estonia) we were underestimated, probably because of our ranking of 48 which can be attributed to our previous U21 coach. We are a bit better this year, but I'd be happy if others will keep underestimating us.

i saw your big guys and thought: there are stronger than ours. so I played Motion. yes, with almost no success -.-
a big surprise was, that we had such big problems in scoring during the first half. it was like running against a wall. the second half was better, but the game was already lost after the first two quarters.

And that's one of two reasons why I played with three point guards - to deliver the ball to our bigs as efficiently as possible. The other reason is your SF isn't an inside threat, so I could have less ID on SF spot and figured you would play Run&Gun or Push the ball. Motion really surprised me though, as this tactic requires heavy HA, PA and JS on guards and good HA and JS on bigs. I think these skills cannot be brought high enough in three seasons of traning to combat the OD of 14+ which all stronger U21 NTs have. After third 3 in first two-three minutes I was almost sure we were going to win. You also lose a lot of RB power with Motion, so nothing really worked for you.

Of course I wish you all the best in next games, not only as a sports gesture, but also because we can profit from your wins...
