They upped SB effectiveness and lowered JR costs. I thought this would help, not sure how much it has. The prediction thing was to force tactical change where it wasn't really possible/reasonable without it, since LI was so overpowered.

I pretty much agree with most if not all of your post, but since my time is short I'll really only respond to this part.

The problem with lowering SB and JR's salary cost and even with increasing the effectiveness of them (which they did with SB and I wish they would with JR) is that the salary is only one component of why those were not being trained. At least some people have been training SB more in the past few seasons, especially now that they've been hinting for a while that it was going to be more effective, so we'll start seeing more guys hopefully like Manon and Nachtmahr (sp?) have been creating (and I know at least one user in the USA who's been at a fairly high level off and on doing something similar, though less focused). But the problem still is that JR is painfully slow to train, plus requires JS as well, while OD trains faster and shuts down both those skills plus flow. Admittedly, you've been saying that longer even than I have, so the fact that I repeat it here is less for your benefit and more for the people who maybe hadn't made that realization yet. ;)

There really needs to be a major overhaul of training if we're going to see some balance in the game. Of course, changing the parameters on jumpers and threes so players can hit a decent percentage of them would help, but if the news announcement for the next season came out and said that JR's salary impact was cut massively again it still wouldn't change things because the bigger problem with that skill is how long it takes to train it, especially when compared to 1v1 for Forwards, which gives you DR, HA, IS and JS for twice as many players.

This site are losing people because it's IMPOSSIBLE to get out of lower leagues... unless you spend your friggin life on this site. It's too much time consuming. People that are on high league like III or II are IMPOSSIBLE to beat. This is my usual lifecycle.

Play the V league. Non manager is able to play or compete whatsoever, proceed to absolutely sweep the league and go to IV.
Play the IV league. Getting annihilated, I mean, can fight to not going back in V but what's the point in that? Go back to V.

Repeat every single season.

So FRUSTRATING. The only way to break the cycle is to draft some stud but is real difficult and even if you draft someone you have to just spend entire seasons developing players... too much time consuming.

Look mate, I think you missed the core of this game, which is economy. You really need to build up your arena, and since you're playing for a long time now, you should've finished it already.

Basically, you need to improve financial strength of your team, so you can support more expensive rosters. Arena is the way to go there.

Second, you need to train better. I suggest you try to make salary efficient players, not studs(if you mean high potential, high salary). You should try to get players with good starting skills, regardless of potential. Then build them up so they have a lot of skills on small salary.

I'm doing the same currently. I'm currently training an allstar, but I believe I can pack 110 skills into about 35k salary. And I'm using a cheap level 3 coach, and my trainee had normal starting skills, nothing special, I just got him randomly im my first season.

For example, my second trainee was a 19y MVP, but I didn't bother to train him up to 200k salary, I will just train thim with my main trainee at about 35k salary, maybe I continue training him, after my main trainee is capped, up to 50k or so. He will also be very salary efficient.

And I have a third trainee, also allstar, a bit weaker then the main guy, but he'll also have 100+ skills at 35k salary.

I believe my trainees will become very good and cheap backups for top leagues, and probably get a lot of value at the transfer market. Especially when they finally remove the blank lineups, and people start looking for low salary-high quality backups.

I am sorry, but if you are not able to get out of IV division, then you are not good enough. Specially now that we have less users. And this law is the same for every competive game out there. There is only 16 teams in the top division and that means you need to be better than 99% of the italian managers to get there. And of course is going to be very time consuming:
- A lot of time to read the forums to really understand the game (check). Some users are incredible knowledgeable about the game.
- Proper use of different tactics (I don't really know most of them properly).
- Economy related stuff (check). A lot of teams are losing money every week or they make bad economic decisions and they dont even know.
- The trade market and training players (check). It's not essential, but can be very helpful.

This game is interesting because it is difficult to beat other humans with the same tools you have. Maybe you need to change your focus and try to enjoy improving your team and learning in the process. With time you may stop worrying about promoting and start to enjoy the game.
