When both teams play Run and Gun, and one of them has also selected Full Court Press, high results are not out of the question -- especially when both teams have no defense to write home about.

I think it has more to do with both teams having poor perimeter defense and both teams playing run and gun. Good offense combined with poor defense should make for a high scoring game. As for the issue with assists, they have said that they have increased them in order to have a more realistic game; however, I still don't know if it will actually work.

"As announced at the start of the season, we delayed the most recent game engine upgrades until Saturday's games."

You guys should read the news bulletin sometime.

Perhaps you should do the same.

haha, you're funny. 166-149 in regulation time is by no means realistic. Especially when you consider i've played that team around 13 times over the course of a few seasons and the scores have never been remotely close to that.

And if respectable outside and inept inside scoring translates to 149 points against inpet outside and respectable inside def then some of the cup games next year are going to have scary score-lines. Teams will be cracking the 300 point mark and we could be seeing assists at 30-40.

in my opinion it was better the way they had it.

The effect of the difference is geometric, which means respectable vs. inept won't be much better in outcome than prominent vs. inept. An open shot does not become more open when the person guarding you is 10 feet away from you, instead of 3 feet, for example.

is that right? So an open shot is an open shot. regardless if your a inept shooter or proficient the player should hit it.

Good to know. so shooting is kind of redundant once you get to a certain level. but higher defensive rating means less open shoots.

The only thing I can tell with certainty is that the difference between offensive and defensive ratings has quite obvious diminishing returns. It's quite evident by the repetitive posts in the "Oh my god how did I lose" thread, where people complain they lost even though their offense was a hair better than the opponent's offense (and both had no defense to speak of).
