The draft is so annoying!!!

Having spent 10k a week on scouting I think its a waste of time. I had a fairly good season and made the playoffs so was low down in the pecking order for the draft - as a result the 3 players I ended up with, I hadn't even scouted. The only plus point is I didn't end up with the players I'd scouted and put at the bottom.

Has anybody else had similar experiences. I think this season I wont bother and chance my luck to fate!!!

Pretty much everybody I would guess. The draft process is just boring because you don't actually do anything except for maybe 3 minutes per season.

I think a good rule of thumb is that it's worth spending 5k a week but if you think you'll finish 4th or above in your division any more than that is unlikely to prove a good investment.

I think it is impossible to say a rule to this. It all depends on the activity of the other managers in the league. In Finland III, it is good to invest 10k although you are a top team, I got proof for that again this year.In bigger countries' III it probably is not an idea to invest if you are a top team. In smaller countries' top leagues, it probably is worth it again...so no rule..

Good point. I should qualify my previous post by saying that it applies only if you have a league of active, human managers.

Also, for non-native English speakers I should clarify that 'rule of thumb' = 'rough guideline' not 'proven rule'
