New Ad System / Supporter Saved Search

We have developed a new ad system that aims at reducing the clutter of sticky posts that dominate the top of many of the forums. The majority of these posts are advertisements of one kind or another, and our GMs spend an inordinate amount of time making sure everybody respects the rules about what posts are legal. Also, these ads aren't even very effective at what they are trying to do. So, we have developed a new system for these ads which will hopefully be more effective. It will now be considered spam if you post a transfer ad, scrimmage ad, or advertise a set of national team requirements in the forums. If these new ads are a success, we might do the same with some of the other common sticky threads in the forums.

First, transfer ads will allow you to post one short ad about a player you currently have on sale. Once an ad is posted, you will not be able to revise it or post a new one until that sale is been completed. This ad will appear on the transfer list search page, and we will be trying to tailor the advertising to those who should be most interested in your player. One of the two ad slots gives priority to domestic players, and players whose auctions end soon and are within the budget of the team viewing your ad will get priority. All ads can be created using the "New Ad" page linked from the "Community" overview.

Second, scrimmage ads will be displayed on the "Manage My Team" page in the scrimmage box. We automatically rotate which ad is displayed so that teams who have posted ads recently, logged in recently, and have not received many offers will get priority.

Third, we are releasing an ad system for coaches to contact owners about players who might get called up to their national team. If your player meets some minimum requirements set by the NT or U21 coach, this advertisement will be visible on his player overview page. Contacting that coach is a good way to find out what your player needs to do in order to wear the national jersey.

We hope that these new ads will both reduce clutter in the forums and be more effective forms of advertising.

Finally, we have added the option for supporters to save a transfer list search. You can set your search criteria from your "Preferences" page, and this search will be used to determine which player appears on "Manage My Team".

Ну тут то обьявиения реализованы по другому. Они обещают быть 'умными'. То есть в трансферах по любому будет игрок с твоей страны. И не нужно нажимать на другие ссылки, чтобы увидеть одну лишь страницу объявлений.

Ух ты! Классную фишку саппортерам добавили с запоминанием трансферных предпочтений! Да и сама система объявлений, думаю, приживется. Кстати, а что станет с топиком "Трансферы-Российские игроки". Судя по новости, он теперь является незаконным:)
