I doubt it, otherwise every player on a new team would start at 18.

I think this tell us that you CAN in theory train a player until 39 but that it will be substantially slower than an 18 year old even if both players are "generated" in the same season


actually, i am looking for skilled elder newbie player, then buy low & sell high after core abilities popup, this may be another way out to avoid bidding war on 18 year-old trainee.
