How about searching by salary as well?
NO ONE at this table ordered a rum & Coke
Charles: Penn has some good people
A CT? Really?
Any two will do
Any three for me
Any four will score
Any five are live

This is the header
: "Search for an entire phrase instead of each word separately by "putting the phrase in quotes" like this. To exclude a word or phrase from your search, place a minus sign next to it, like this: -bad -"don't want to search this"."
But when I search:
"game engine" -bugs
, I get all the post under "
Game engine and bugs
". I think the '-' (minus) is meant to eliminate all post with the word next to it?

i dont know how the search works. i didnt write it.. but do the posts themselves contain the words bugs? maybe it searched the individual post text but doesnt exclude all the thread titles that contain it?

At the top of the results page, you should see an interpretation of the query. I executed the search that you specified, and for me, it says,
You searched for: "game engine" AND NOT bugs
I checked out the first 10 pages of search results, and the results look correct;
bugs
does not appear in any of the posts.
Is it possible that you used a different minus character in your search than the one that you posted here?

BB-Mike: I do get the same result as you, but sorted on date I get lots of "
Game engine and bugs
" post first.
BB-Forrest: I guess you are right. The search string does not exclude thread titles.
Maybe that's OK?

Yes, forum names and thread titles are not considered by the search. The alias of the poster is too.
