Been there, done that. Many months ago...
Don't expect any fundamental game engine option to be added in the short-medium term. That´s one of the down sides of this game: very slow evolution of the issues most users think that are import to change/be added. Still, is a decent game to play, for now...
Keep insisting, though. If you have the patience...
