Look at your name and the picture you use - both are tactical nightmares. You just need to spend your points more wisely as there is little to no way your draft board shouldn't of been close to an idea of who is out there.

yes the draft is hit and miss, but you shouldn't of missed that bad unless you had no idea what your doing.

Briliant post Sanjos, but actually I got an HOF each of past 3 seasons. Now, I did draft very late (last) after winning my league last season, but I am more concerned with the lack of depth of information given I invested the max amount possible.

It might depend on how active your DIV league is, but if you expect to finish in the top four record wise I doubt it is worth it to spend a lot on scouting. You will be scouting very nice prospects you will have very little chance of getting. Just save the money on scouting and get a decent prospect off the transfer list. Maybe you get lucky in the draft and hit the jackpot anyways. This year I cut back on my scouting. I got what I paid for with all 3 picks being 1-ball potential. There were 3-4 nice picks out of my draft, I think only one went after my pick (14th) so maybe an extra $10-20k a week in scouting gets me that guy, or I can just buy a decent 3-ball potential prospect with the $150-200k I saved over the course of the season.

When I promote up to DIII (who knows when) I will start investing a lot of money in the draft looking for that million-dollar prospect. But until then, I will develop my current trainees, expand my arena and work on upgrading my team. Scouting can wait.

Great, you got 3 HOF's 3 straight years and this season they put you in control..... Sounds like the computer knows the game better than you.

I did 40k for a bit. Not the whole season but on weeks I wanted two interviews for players.

You are pretty much just bad at the system.

I scouted every guard in the draft and walked away with 2 good 6'3 18 y/os with MVP and HOF potential respectively.

Maybe you should bother training your players?

My second round pick is only 2.7k salary, but in one or two seasons he will be a great player.
