Nope, it does make sense as it is. This way you have to think about your bids well before you send them.

We have both said a lot of things that you are going to regret.

yeah, i know but what happened was that i put a bid on two guys (in case someone put a higher bid on one of them) but i got the one guy and i don't really need the other player i bid on anymore..so i just wasted money..

You wasted money and it's your fault.
I've also placed stupid bids and got players that I wanted in one moment but that I didn't want anymore when I actually had them on my roster...

Imagine you could cancel bids on ebay or any other market. It would ruin the whole system...

Accept you can cancel bids on Ebay.

On a side note. At least you can relist the player and recoup some money.

yes and no, ebay says
A bid may be withdrawn in exceptional cases, when

You have accidentally entered the wrong bid amount, for example, 1000 € instead of 10,00 €. In this case, please immediately after the withdrawal of a new offer on the correct bid amount.

the description of the item after you have submitted your bid, has changed significantly.

It is not permitted to withdraw bids if

You have changed your opinion about the article.
You feel that you are not yet able to afford the product.

You have something to offer higher than you originally intended.

Imho the underlined part would be applicable if you changed your mind and just don't want to have a player anymore because you bought another one.

Anyway, it's not possible here, that's it

We have both said a lot of things that you are going to regret.
