Would waiting to train JR later though slow down his progression? Is JR harder to train than JS?

I believe that training one does in fact train the other. It is probably more common—and useful too—to have the JS be a little higher than the JR (in my opinion)

That dude is a stud. In your case if you want to keep him I would continue training passing this season. His salary next year will be cheaper. I say this because of the level you are at. You can always attack his js and jr later. You are going to be able to take his od a few notches higher. The only thing you have to worry about with this guy is being able to afford him. If he gets 48+ minutes a week you almost can't mess him up. To raise his shooting mix one on one forwards with outside shooting. His js and jr will move upwards in affordable increments and a couple pops in inside shot would really make this guy a lethal scorer mixed with his future driving capabilities.

Thanks for the insight. I plan on making a real push to promote next season as this season I am just training to focus on training. If I train passing the rest of the season, what do you think I should do as far as training next season?

For the rest of the season I would get passing and handling to proficient, jump range to strong, jump shot to proficient and then driving to proficient. In any order.
There is no reason why you can't promote with this stud. Pick up one good big man and you can easily contend for the title.

Just train a little JS JR, make sure you have 1 or 2 other guys that are also good leaders, and you'll be able to promote.

I would give him another two weeks of passing and then 1 on 1 F's for 3 weeks. and then sell him to me for 1.85 million

How will his height affect the speed of his training for 1 on 1 F's.

1st thing I would do is look through the people giving you advice and find the most successful of those and listen to their advice. That being said I will start by saying I am loving the looks of this prospect. You training OD up to trem is great nothing beats great D. Like was stated earlier I would train passing until it is where you want it, whether that is for the rest of the season or not is up to you and where you want his passing to end up.

You can either then train one on one for forwards (height wont effect the training speed here) or and there are 2 schools of thought here train either JR or JS to where you want it then train the other. IF you train JS up to tremendous then train JR you might get the elastic effect going and that might train Jr faster but then again he might be a year older at that point and his training has slowed to where the difference wont be that much.

Saying all your Sg primaries are around tremendous you are gonna have a Sg in the neighborhood of 40 to 55k ( just guessing at price here so dont shoot me) . This will be a really good Div 3 SG.

You have a great prospect there. I would do passing to proficient and then 1 full season or even more of one on one for forwards. This should increase his JS to nice level, Driving and Handling should be awesome (stop training one on one when there are at the levels you want them to be). JS should also train quite fast with this trainng, and even more importantly Inisde shot. I think Inside shot is underrated and it can be very effective for guards. Get it to average- respectable and you are good to go. Then do some outside shooting (JR and some secondary pops on JS). All of this should make him pretty balanced player at the start of the season in which he is 22. Then you have 2 more seasons to finish him off.

Look at his salary and if you can afford more. If yes then its up to you what to increase (OD for sure and other guard skills if you can afford it). If not then i would train ID to respectable and leave him as he is.
