He wasn't all that great offensively, that's true. But he's a work in progress. Starting isn't viewed as so important in European Basketball, and he didn't mesh well with Barça superstar Navarro (who is a bit of a ballhog... understandably, but that means that Rubio becomes a spot-up shooter which is the worst role he can (or better can't) play.)

If the (hopefully) new 'Wolves coach can teach him to hit Jump Shots, he'll be great. I mean, even Jason Kidd learned to hit 3s late in his career...

I'm looking forward to seeing rubio, i hope he adapts well. Navarro is one of my favourite players and he had quite a short trip in the NBA. I Hope i'll see ricky more

He made a bad season, his JS-JR are so weak, even if he trained with an american coach, he has a LOT to improve, but the good thing is that he is young so let's see.

It's an overrated player

PD: I'm a Barcelona supporter...

Finally a Spaniard that is not over hype him. His only skill that maybe is translatable in the NBA is his passing, but to get away without JS there you need to have elite athleticism like Rondo, and for sure is not even the half athlete. Also his D is very suspect, his progress all those years is almost non existent. I have nothing against him, but i can see a huge bust here...

For all the hype he brings, it's interesting to hear that the European fans aren't that impressed.
Going to be interesting times...

the thing is, we had that hype too ;) He was outstanding for an 14 year old, playing solid in the best european league. but he didn't improved that much which you could hope for, but i think he could have a good NBA career and he wouldn't be the first player who catch up athletically in the NBA.

Well those kind of players are extremely skilled like Dirk for example. Ricky other than PA/HA doesnt possess any other elite skill....
