i like then, in my experience it contributes to the defence(my backup C lack ID but have OD 8, and i am quite succesfull even when they start a lot because my main PF is also a trainee).

Also it is much easier to train a PF out of them, JS training isn't influenced by hight and also driving works quite ok.

I wouldn't train OD and JR past Respectable (for PF/C). Respectable is a pretty good level for an inside player.
Better concentrate on his inside skills, that's at least what I would do...

OD is a good secondary skill for big man, by limiting the matchup from receiving entry pass, forcing TO, preventing drive and attempting jump shot. 7 is good, 8 is nice, 9 is luxury for C

JR for big man is to create more space and hitting one or two 3 pt a game is nice. 6 is good...
