Please read about this issue in the thread aptly named "Read first: Known issues, reporting a bug" before posting. Thanks.

I'm sorry for "hijacking" this thread, but since I'm not getting any responses on the official one that supposedly already deals with this issue, I could not pass on opportunity to ask you a question here.
You see, I have been having the same problem in the past couple of my scrimmages and unlike Mr. Fairersportler I did not use "coach picks from depth chart" but "depth chart until 4th".
Now, if I'm not mistaken - and I know I'm not - "depth chart until 4th" means that coach should not interfere with our starting lineup, so I must ask, when is this going to stop? Also, if this is a known bug, why didn't BB post any announcements yet? Shouldn't that be the first thing one should do until the problem is solved?
Thank you for your time.

'Strictly follow depth chart' is the option you should be using if you don't want the coach to interfere at all.. Its the only option I ever use, and I've never had a problem.

As I see it, and from what I've learned in the short time I've been here, if you pick the best lineup possible and still use one of the coaches options, it will only change a small amount, if you are way off and starting players that are inferior to your bench players, coach will change them around in order to get the best result from the game.

The way around this is as stated (in numerous threads), is by using strictly follow depth chart.

Well, I have been playing this game for past 10+ seasons, and this is the first time I'm having issues like this, so I must disagree with you. And so does the game manual, if you care to go over the section that deals with substitution patterns one more time.
Substitution Pattern

The coach will sometimes use his own judgment to decide what the proper balance is between starters, backups, reserves, and even players on the bench but not in the depth chart at all. You can set the balance between how much coaches use their own judgment or defer to yours with the substitutions box. You can use entirely your judgment (Strictly Follow Depth Chart), entirely the coach's judgment (Let Coach Decide), a mix between the two (Coach Picks from Depth Chart), or you can use your depth chart strictly until the 4th quarter, then tell the coach to try and win the game however he thinks is best (Depth Chart until 4th).
The key words up there would be "strictly until 4th quarter" and "then tell the coach to try and win the game however he thinks is best".

No I don't care to go overany of the game manual... It is too vague in so many ways that I won't waste my time reading any of it again. You're trying to educate me on something that I don't have an issue with. You're having problems not me, I was merely offering advice, no need to pull out the 10+ seasons of experience card.

I have learned what I have from reading the forums and adjusting my own strategy against other peoples problems... Hence the reason I already knew NOT to pick anything other than sfdc if I wanted to use my own lineup.

You're getting upset with no valid reason. What I tried to achieve by "pulling out that 10+ seasons of experience card" was not to put you down, but rather just to point out that you might be overlooking certain things, like - in an example - the part where I say "and this is the first time I'm having issues like this".
But what to expect from someone who publicly says "I don't care to go overany of the game manual" and thinks that he is saying something smart.

Do I look like a BB? How exactly can I fix it? I did offer a suggestion, what more do you expect me to do? In fact, what more can I do? Please tell me..

There was no attitude, and apologies to Jasenjin for if it came across that way (and to you reddaddy). It has already been noted that this problem exists in a different thread, I was offering a work around as that currently is the only possible thing to do.

P.S - I still stand by my statement that the manual is useless though. And anyone who quotes it should read the forums and learn of existing problems/bugs before taking the manual as gospel, it's not ideal I know, but it's the only thing you can do.
