Yeah, I got three exp pops in season 17.

To increase one entire experience level, a player needs more than one full season, and that's starting both league games every week. Now cup games help a little, and making the playoffs help even more, but experience grows slowly.

So, if your players start at low exp sublevels, it's not surprising at all that they don't pop after a single season.

Well it's funny that me and my friends, 3 teams and a total of 36 players, didn't have one single pop in experience for any of our players. Coincidence?

How long have you had these players, especially those that started most league games?

Even 36 players with no exp pop doesn't sound outrageously unlikely.

Experience pops don't get the green arrow because they happen directly after games. They are not part of the training update. So you have to track them yourself or with a tool like Buzzer Control or (http://www.buzzer-manager.com/)

Didn't have one either, but I guess that it was just a lack of sublevels.-

I didn't have pops in experience either. It seems to me that this segment is still not so well tuned yet. It would be nice to know how much does each competition helps in the improvement of the experience (scrimmages, league, tournament, BBB) and maybe different stages of a competition ( playoffs , semifinals etc). No need for absolute values. Just an idea.

Maybe I am off-topic here but... did anyone made researches on how does experience affect a players performance?

Experience pops aren't informed nor visible by that green arrow that indicates an increase, so they are easy to miss. I did get an experience pop last season as did several posters here, so everything's working. Your ordering of scrimmages, league, tournament, BBB is generally correct in order of which gives more experience, though the difference is minute (Except for scrimmages which gives much less experience) and affected by other factors.

Solid data on how experience affects a players performance is hard to come by, especially you would require players with the same skill set, GS and varying levels of experience to see it. Charles I believe posted on the forums that experience helps in decision making on whether a shot is good enough to take or to pass the ball and look for another opening. An inexperienced player might be more susceptible to taking shots when the chances of making it is poor, better experienced players are better equipped to judge which shots are good and when to pass.
