Does anyone know how blocks are noted in the match report?

I suppose it could be a "steal" by the blocker, just a missed shot defended by the blocker (followed by the normal rebound routine?), or something else I'm not thinking of.

The only other way I can think of to determine blocks is to continually watch the box score...

Blocks are listed in the box score. (I assume that's the match report that you're referring to.)

Abbreviated BLK. Between steals and personal fouls.

He's refering to the live report of the game. And I don't think they are noted.

Yeah, that's something that would be a nice addition to the game viewer.

It does get kind of annoying having to switch to the box score every now and again to check if you've blocked someone or been blocked.

A block just comes up as a missed shot and if a player has blocked the shot then it only shows in the box score.

is the rebounding logic for a blocked shot any different?

In any case, it seems like something worth expanding on in the game engine at some later point.

I realise that JudgeNik, i was trying to say it would be a nice change to the game viewer to actually see the blocks the same way you see steals with "John Smith intercepts a pass" etc

You can look at the box score during a live match? How? (or did I misunderstand you?)

Well this is a suggestion then ;) probably should be in the Suggestions forum
And it already has been suggested and is on the list of things to add to the game engine.

Sure. Click "> more" directly under each team's roster of players within the match viewer.
