Hello England, many of you probably know me but in case you do not I am Sean (better known by my alias SREZ) and I will be running for the coach of your junior national team this season. I am eager to begin my speech, but before we get started I mine as well give you a little back round of my BB career so far. Here we go :)
Experience:-I have completed four full seasons on BB, and in that time I have promoted twice and have learned much from my fellow community members
- I am an active forum poster, and even was/am a writer on the BB Blog
http://www.buzzerbeaterblog.com/ for the time being
- I trained a world champion big
(19250926) that was on the USA U21 team
- I have served as a Domestic Scout two seasons for the USA National Team
-Most recently I have worked closely along side with Eminence and fluff these past two seasons as a scout and tactical advisor for the England U21 National Team, and have watched England rise to the top of the pack! I also created England's offsite forum, which you should join by the way ;)
http://w11.zetaboards.com/BB_England_NT/index/Alright, I think that is enough about me. Now it's time to get to you!
Goals:No doubt Eminence has set the bar high in this category, but I believe there are still things left we can accomplish. For starters, getting a more active community is something that can always be improved, and these past few seasons we have seen glimpses of that with the creation of the offsite and active posters like Morwood, who gave us an entertaining and enjoyable article to read every week. If I were to be elected, I would love to rally up the troops and get the English community even more involved than it is currently. The more involved a community is, the greater sense of nationalism people have for their BB country, which ultimately leads to more people wanting to and knowing how to train quality players. Also, an involved community is a lot more fun!
Since Eminence has set his mind on running for the NT, I thought I'd go for the job as U21 headcoach. Why am I very suited for this? Because:
1) I've been Eminence's tactical adviser for the past 2 seasons. I know the current U21 team and why change to a new coach if their already is a current team that is working as it should be? I feel confident that we can expand the current U21 team and get more guy's involved (which would be required if you vote for a new head coach)
2) I already know the roster and the guy's, and don't need time to familiarise myself with how the current U21 structure works. Too many times the U21 has changed coaches, and if you keep breaking down it's structure, how can you ever except the U21 to grow beyond what they have finally achieved? So instead of getting a new coach, who isn't familiar with our structure and would require time to understand it, I can immediately work myself in and continue the work that Eminence has started a couple of seasons ago.
Why do I want to coach England? (And a few more goals :D )Futhermore, I see the English community as one that is finally starting to boom, with people being involved and interested in the U21 results. The entire U21 team (me included) has seen the feedback on Morwoords posts. As for results, achieving what Eminence did in the European cup might be a bit hard to repeat. But we got a good squad, so why not? I think this load of U21 players has the potential to make the European cup, provided that the managers take care of their GS.
And I know that most of my opposing running mates will point out my limited experience on this game, but I've worked with Eminence and his crew, learned from a few other coaches as well, and I don't take one man decisions. Every game, tactic, etc, will be discussed carefully with the U21 team, just like it was done this past season, to ensure a maximum amount of success.
Thank you. Remember to vote, and GO ENGLAND!
-SREZ
