I'd y train the PA mainly. He got more potential. He'll go further. You can try to train the Allstar. Cause if you train him right, you can sell him for 300+k. But just do this;

1. Put the P. Alstar to start in both league games (at PG), he'll get about 30-35 minutes per game, so he got 60-70. Good for training.
2. Put the allstar to back up the legue games (at backup PG). He'll get 13-18 minutes a game, then start him (at PG) in the cup/scrimmage match. Then he'll have about 55-70 minutes. Good there.
3. Buy 1 10kish guy with good skills in one position. Manage his GS.
4. Get some 7-9k guys that can have 9-11 defense, and 8-10 shooting
5. For shooting guards to buy get a guy with these core skills;
8-10 JS
7-8 JR
9-11 OD
8-10 HA
9-11 DR
6-9 PA

Small Forward;
Get every skill to be at the 6-11 range, with at least 9 OD and ID. Depending on your like of defense
Total offense no less than 7.
Driving no less than 6
Rebounding no less than 7.
Then everything else is your choice.
PF/C
8-10 IS
9-11 ID
8-10 REB
SB doesn't count, just ignore that.

6. Depending on which 10-12k guy you're buying, just after that, get the guys at 7-9k. To stay cheap. Along the way, build arena.

Hope this works. This is my advice.

PS; Don't get all old guys man, they just don't help. Just get 1-2. 3 at the most. Then you're fine. Other than that, train your guards and you'll be great!

PPS; Just hope to get out of D4 withen this season or two. Cause guys you train will balloon in their salaries. So watch out for that. Again, good luck in BB!

Age and height are nice. However, both of those guys are marginal talents, at best. You really want to train guys that are 18 and have average-respectable in three or four primary skills at least, and probably want them not to be horrible in their secondaries. I guess the best way to represent this is in outline form

PG
Primary: OD, JS, Pass
Secondary: Handling, Driving, Jump Range

SG
Primary: OD, JS, JR
Secondary: Handling, Driving, Passing

Training inside players is somewhat easier, the solid but unspectacular variety typically only needs Inside Shot/Inside Defense/Rebounding. Other skills are gravy -- it's good if there is some; the only ones you probably need to worry about training are Shot blocking and Jump Shot.

This is about as simple as I could keep it. Make sure you get a decent coach, but don't spend too much resources on it. Level 4 (advanced) is probably enough until you get the hang of it. Half decent trainees (18-19 yrs old with average-respectable primaries) could probably be had for cheap on the transfer list. Make sure the height is right (guards must be short, big men must be tall). Petersen is probably trainable, but Schreiber is definitely a waste of time.

Also, there is a neat little (or not so little) guide pinned to the top of the forum. Hope you don't get lost in it. Good luck

there's a trick to getting 3 guys single position training 48 minutes.

The 1st part of trick. Don't play guys in both league games.
