It really depends on your level of competition. My DivIV league probably averages Sensational (12) outside defense on SFs for the top teams. (Edit to clarify)

SFs shoot fewer 3s in Base than SG or PG, but to be versatile you may want more JR to play Run'n'Gun effectively.

For a base SF in my league I would say ideal would be JS: 14 JR: 10 against OD: 12

You may want to go 13/11 if you expect to play more Run'n Gun or 15/9 even if you played more LI.

Keep in mind PA is quite important for SFs too...I would recommend up to the same level of defense being played.

Thanx for opinions.

So far my SF skils:

11/4
12/6
9/8
11/11
10/8

This season I'm gonna push OD and PA. And from next season I want to concentrate to offence type training.

this seems very high to me for Div iV. This player looks more like an SG, SF are usually more versatile, with IS/ID too.
A guy with 11/8 10 OD and 10/10 IS/ID is already a very good SF for Div 4 or maybe even Div 3, imho.
But all of this depends on your tactic.

Maybe France IV is different than USA IV? And by the way, I didn't address skills other than JS/JR/OD because I felt they weren't relevant to the discussion. Of course the player will need IS/ID/RB.

An 11/8 10 OD 10/10 IS/ID couldn't score consistently from or defend the perimeter in my league. He would do quite well inside, though. I should know, as I have a player that looks almost identical to that!!

Maybe I was a touch high on JS/JR, though. How about:

JS: 13 JR: 9
OD: 12 HA: 10
DR: 11 PA: 12
IS: 10 ID: 10
RB: 9 SB: 7

Would be pretty much king of most courts in USA IV for only $30,000/wk or so. Not too shabby.

the average in D.IV is not 12, even for the top 3-4 teams in each league within it in the US. I would think 10 amongst the top 3 of my divisions is on the higher side of the more likely number, whereas 9 is more likely. I think only my league leader has an 11 or 12.

To be fair, I specifically said the top teams and didn't mean an average overall. I am only concerned with the top 3-4 teams because you have to beat them to promote.

The reason I say 12 is because my average among PG/SG/SF is 11 OD. I put up Respectable (Medium) on Man to Man and the top 3-4 teams in my league can put up Strong (Med) on base.

I manage game shape and enthusiasm equally well or better than they do.

Keep in mind I am in a very good DIV league, though.

This is all just my opinion based on the results I can observe. Take it with a grain of salt.

France and USA have nearly the same amount of users, so they are pretty similar.

Just because they have the same amount of users does not make them similar. It all depends on the strength of the D.IV leagues in both countries.

The ideal amount of JR on a SF is the amount that you naturally get when you train JS. Prolly different for RnG SF but I think it's a mistake to train them (might as well build a LI SF, sell it, buy an RnG SF, and pocket the surplus cash). This is a separate issue but I don't believe in training JS on any player labeled SF (cost is huge), but it should be trained until the player is labeled SF.

over time divisions will flux quite a bit.

Probably best to just go to the OP's schedule and look at what guys are posting in OD.

I don't think JR is that important for a SF in LI tactic. If you want a SF for that tactic, I would rather train more driving and maybe some passing.
