Well they did change forfeits so that it is a 50-0 win instead of a 25-0 win, so that has also been improved a lot in my opinion.

Well they did change forfeits so that it is a 50-0 win instead of a 25-0 win, so that has also been improved a lot in my opinion.


Which, really, is nothing at all. A team that forfeits is already going to lose any tiebreaker against a team without forfeits, so the PD doesn't affect them at all. If they made forfeiting teams drop to the bottom of the draft order, or lose training and gate/TV receipts, that would be a major improvement.

Well, yes, if a team forfeits against one team in the conference and not another, that'll come into play but how exactly would they be able to try to come up with a balance in that scenario, which is fundamentally unbalanced? The same thing happens when teams sell their players and tank their way down - I'd much prefer them to do so at a time which ensures that they don't play some teams with full strength rosters and others with bot-level scrubs, but there's no real good way of enforcing that.

Then again, a 50 point loss in higher up leagues is probably less than what a loss would be if a team played with a full roster of scrubs. It is quite a tough situation.
