The draftees were created, but you are correct, they were not put onto a team. I noticed due to scouting so far.
Players on a team, at the top of the text window will say: Buzzerbeater > Canada > League id > team
But draftees not on a team just: Buzzerbeater > Canada
Maybe they are trying to quicken the draft/off-season process?
