Barring any hidden ratings and from what I've gathered so far, shotblocking looks to be fairly redundant. But we can't leave it untrained and risk having our player's skillsets out of sync which slows training. It might factor into individual game rating, but I wonder how big an impact shotblocking has on your team's performance on the court.

Does shotblocking go directly against your opponent's attack ratings to determine the number of shots blocked? I've explored this avenue against weak inside teams and still my inside players posted 0-1 blocks. Same case against teams of higher offensive ratings.

Perhaps we inside trainers can start our own study on this. Let's see if we have players amongst us with identical inside skills but different levels of shotblocking. Over the course of a few games, we can determine how big an impact shotblocking actually has on the game.

It's possible that SB acts as more of a deterrent.
